An old bridal march from the Forest Finn areas of Nås, Dalarna, as played by a Nirs August Larsson, who had the tune from bagpiper Nergårds Lars. The tune has also been documented in the province Värmland.
Here played on modern Swedish bagpipes and a 120 year old harmonica with bells.

I wrote this song after an in-depth conversation with my mother who spent years searching for her mother.  It's in 7/8; perhaps reflecting the irregularity of relationships.

The first melody is from the Petrie Collection and the second jig based upon John J. Kimmel's setting from his recording of the tune made in 1918.

Originally cast as a votive offering in the 2nd or 3rd century, and later cast into a ditch; my wife was fortunate to be working on an an archaeological dig at Vindolanda when this small bronze hand was uncovered in 2018. Rothley Crag is near Cambo in Northumberland and this tune came to me whilst between the two.
