This was originally written as an intro for shows, it's in the same key as "Signal Fires" and with Alina's vocals it was the perfect intro. We decided to keep that edit for ourselves and add this one to set the mood for the EP. At the time of completion we were crossing troubled waters in our personal lives and we decided "Rise" was a fitting name.
