Monument Festival 2022: Forest Drive West

There’s something special about clicking with someone musically, aesthetically, and on a human level. That’s exactly how we feel about our collaboration with Mostra Festival, which is entering its third year. We’re thrilled to introduce some of the talent performing at the 2025 edition and to continue this creative exchange with our friends from Spain.

Mostra 2025 happens April 17-20 at two brand-new locations. With two waves of artists already announced, it’s clear that the high bar set by previous editions has once again been met. Expect the finest in ambient, experimental, avant-garde, and techno. The final wave of artists will be revealed tomorrow, February 12—keep an eye on the festival’s socials for the full announcement. More details on the lineup, new venues, and everything Mostra-related will be coming soon to our page.

Today’s guest mix comes from an artist we’ve been following closely: Mariachiara Troianiello, aka Katatonic Silentio. An Italian producer, DJ, and researcher, she moves between electronic music, performing arts, and sound studies, blending abstraction with club energy. Active as a DJ for over 15 years, her sets oscillate between an analog past and a fast-moving future—sometimes dreamy and introspective, other times razor-sharp and unpredictable.
This January, she was part of ExtraMostra event at Berlin’s OHM, where Mostra & Midgar joined forces. Alongside DjSport, Forest Drive West, Keplrr, and Severja, she delivered a mind-bending set in a packed-out club that couldn’t fit everyone who wanted in.

For her guest mix in our series, Katatonic Silentio explores dub techno in her own meticulous way—controlled, intentional, and always with a sense of movement. The first hour plays with restraint, each track given space to breathe, while subtle shifts build an unspoken tension. Just when you think you’ve settled into the groove, she nudges things into unexpected territory—tightening the pulse, throwing in off-kilter patterns, and steering toward a more kinetic, unpredictable second hour. It’s a mix that keeps you on your toes, unfolding with precision rather than force. A refined trip from an artist who never takes the obvious route.

Delayed x Mostra: Katatonic Silentio

This month's EC mix is deep techno outing with definite influences from Detroit and the more soulful, emotive side of techno/house music.  Some exquisite tracks from UK producers like John Shima, ReKaB, Vince Watson, Kirk Degiorgio and Nuron. Nuron's remarkable album on De:Tuned deserves special recognition and includes 5 tracks in this mix.

Also strong representation from across the pond from Norm Tally, Eddie Fowlkes and Los Hermanos. Also, two notable inclusions from Italian producer Roberto Bosco on Sonorous Waves. Enjoy!

Electronic Convergence Mix - April 2025

Tresor Resident LNS started out organizing warehouse parties in Vancouver, Canada. Since residing in Berlin her style of classic techno, house, electro and braindance can easily be identified in her studio productions and DJ sets. Her collaborations with DJ Sotofett are regularly released on Tresor Records and WANIA, while her solo productions and remixes have been released by Counter 99, Emotional Response, Freakout Cult, Sex Tags Ufo and DFA. This one has lain dormant in my 'WIP' folder for quite some time, under the working title 'bleak and blue'. The final product is certainly blue in tone, but not quite as bleak as I'd first intended. It's a contemplative yet soothing 70 minute meditation for those early mornings or inter-city sojourns.

@bb_fm is a radio host at THF Radio and a versatile DJ who navigates a wide sonic spectrum with ease. As the curator and resident DJ of Aquatic Travellers, an electro-driven party that she co-runs with Black Mirror Park at Paloma, she crafts immersive sets that transport listeners from the depths of the ocean to the far reaches of the galaxy. Her signature style blends electro and breaks to create a dreamy yet grounded atmosphere, with a constant sense of motion and narrative.

In terms of sound, she’s my Galaxister — deeply in love with electro that’s both spherical and gritty, always with a bassy touch. Her sets feel like space travel in slow motion: expansive, textured and comfortably otherworldly.

About Tresor Berlin
At midnight, on March 13th 1991, a basement door opened at Leipziger Strasse 126, Berlin. Through this door, many passed, on their way to defining new terrains in electronic music. There they found a dance floor in the vaults of a closed-down department store, with a unique sound bound to dense fog, building night after night a history that was also a vision of the future.

This history has seen in Jeff Mills’ first sets on three turntables, Underground Resistance's first live appearances in Europe, grandiose Tresor Park parties, to various chapters of the Loveparade with Sven Väth in the 90s and since then countless generation-spanning parties. These moments represent the highlights of infinite personal clubbing experiences. It is the manifestation of the Berlin spirit, emerging from its considerable strife. This history is not without its complications - from temporary closure by the authorities and several raids in the early years to closure and demolition of the old location in 2005. What followed was years of wandering in exile and, finally, resurrection in the new home in Kraftwerk Berlin.

These stories, conversations and shared experiences within our walls forge a resilience that drives towards a shared ideal, the Tresor sound: community, resistance, and the world to come. This was observed in the newly re-unified German youth, who danced and celebrated together from the club’s inception, and into the present day through ongoing community work in Detroit.

To those that have danced before, and to those that will dance in the future: the light at the end of the long Tresor tunnel is a signal. A flicker amidst the fog. This is our future. This is our place.

•	GAMADON (aka GAvin MAc DONagh) started buying records and DJing in 1996.
•	Established the Warehouse Manifesto (WM) record label and guest mix series.
•	WMR001 was released in February 2022 and is distributed on Bandcamp and Juno records.
•	Had the privilege of warming up for The Prodigy, on their European tour in cities such as Berlin, Hanover, Prague and Luxembourg in 2015-2016.
•	First gigs were in my hometown of Mullingar in 1997 with Martian Arts, supporting the likes of 808 State and Sunil Sharpe in The Stables.
•	By 1998, I had secured myself gigs playing techno at the legendary Genius night @ Kitchen and also The POD alongside Warren Kiernan & Joe McGrath. I also played at Derek F’s acid techno parties @ Tivoli Theatre and 13thFloor/McGraths’ supporting Dave the Drummer, Chris Liberator and Lawrie Immersion.
•	Moving to Vancouver, Canada in 1999, I signed up with the Pound Recordings crew under the name ‘Dex of Hazzard’ and was resident at their weekly parties in The Palladium playing breakbeat and electro. I was also invited to play club Sonar and various raves around the city. I also played club Rebar in the city of Edmonton.
•	In 2001, I moved back to Mullingar and started a weekly hard-techno night called ‘The Beat Bunker’ in Daly’s in Mullingar, giving local DJs a chance to play in an intimate venue.
•	In 2003, the next destination was Bermuda. For the three years living and working in this scenic, secluded island, I co-ran the Calisthenics house music parties with DJ Andy Schnerg of Toronto. The Hip Therapy parties were a great success, being Bermuda’s only House and Techno night.
•	I started the Disco Nouveau parties in Mullingar in 2008. This monthly event was held in The Stables live music venue – hosting DJs like Sunil Sharpe, Fran Hartnett, Al Keegan, Niall Power, Barry Redsetta and even DJ Mes, label owner of Legendary US West-Coast house label Guesthouse!). This night ran for 4 memorable years.
