This song was for me another chance to enjoy the MPC 2.10 update, which contains really cool plugins emulating famous analogic synths of the past.

All the guitar tracks in the song are recorded with a 2020 Fender Stratocaster american professional.
The overdrive sound comes from the crunch channel of the Marshall DSL-1 amp that I use for recording.
Other effects, like delay, chorus, flanger and reverb are Air stock effects available in the MPC.

This is a very nice drum kit with round robins.

The Bass 02 track is not a real bass, but the sound patch is available under the Hype\Bass folder: I just love the sound for the part I played in choruses 1 and 4.
The bass guitar I used for recording is a Yamaha RBX of the eighties, I think is was an instrument for Heavy metal stuff, given the aggressive Headstock and metallic blue color, but it sounds perfect for pop rock things like this.

I don't use audio tracks in the mix, rather I create Drum Programs: one for guitars and one for the bass. So I just use one audio track for recording and then I move the sample in the proper program.

Take What You Want

After watching the news about the volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland, the four-piece post-rock band Laxá composed the first track of their new album as a result. 

Entititled "Eldensgill," which translates as "Fire Angel", it melds post rock and classical elements provided by the Heima Quartet.

At the beginning of the German Synthi-era there was Ashra/Manuel Göttsching, combining synthi and guitars on some great pioneering albums. Thought I'd try something in such style. So, here it is. Played the usual suspects. Added  a couple of takes on my Fender. Sic itur ad astra (which I'd want to translate as "such is our way to the stars"), thank you P. Vergilius Maro.
