Oh what to say, what to say. https://soundcloud.com/gamechops threw out the Spindash album two months ago and it saddens me that I went that whole time not hearing about it. Sometimes my stream just fills up too fast and I can't listen to it all. LIIIIIIIIFE!! Either way go check that out 'cause it's ballin' with all that Sonic goodness.

https://soundcloud.com/exm4g & https://soundcloud.com/br4nx dropped their eight song EPic (sorry, it was just right there, I had to) called 'Plants and Animals'. It puts the "jam" back in "super amazing jam." Also in the EP spotlight we have an album from newly discovered(to me, at least) https://soundcloud.com/nick-fonkynson. It's labelled as "nu-disco" and I totally agree with that....in case you were wondering.

Other notable singles this week come from https://soundcloud.com/beeskneesmusic, https://soundcloud.com/princefoxmusic, and https://soundcloud.com/joshjarmusic. Just some of the smoothest songs you can imagine this week. Really. The rest of the playlist is also amazing but I'm getting sleepy so just listen to it yourself you lazy suckers.

On a sidenote, I want all of you to remember https://soundcloud.com/officialfroxic, because everytime I hear new music from him I lose my bowels and I just want all of you to experience that too.

Fragments Vol. 8

This is the counterpart song to the Celestion piece. Dascillia is a much more technologically advanced country directly to the north of Celestion. Dascillia has railroads, guns, steam power, and gas lanterns (most of which are only just barely catching on in Celestion.)  
Currently, Dascillia has cast off its ties with the church of the Goddess Elia, and taken up worship of a person (or perhaps an idea) known as the God of Fate. This, of course, makes the church of Elia a tidbit displeased, and soon enough, they've dispatched their private Holy Army to put a stop to all this 'demon worship.'  In the end, Celestion, having little seperation of church and state, gets sucked into what becomes a war, and the player's group, who really just kind of wants to get the heck out of Celestion, ends up caught up in the conflict.

Symphony of Blistered Skies [Dascillia Field]

From the first 'season' of my project.

Throughout the course of the first season, the countries of Dascillia and Celestion are at war. One country is supported by the army of the church of the Goddess, Elia. The other has received a few garrisons of men from the Aegiys Guard, a highly trained religious group that worships many Gods.
These two groups wage war via Celestion and Dascillia, in one of the first direct conflicts between the two religions in Elancian history.
Unfortunately for both countries, they are now tearing each other apart for reasons far bigger than either of them, and the ones who pay the heftiest price are those caught in the middle.
The player group rather unfortunately runs head-long into this conflict on an un-related task, and their destinies are forever altered. 

This song carries the leitmotif from the first season, "Blistered Skies" which can be heard in all 3 field maps for season 1, and the season 1 ending. :D

War Torn Fields

I've actually been making a ton of music for this project lately, I've just been afraid to post it too fast. >~>; I'm also sitting on about 200 songs I've already written for it, but I digress.

Mitala Village is first seen in the first season, while the group (of five, at that point) first crosses the border from Celestion ( https://soundcloud.com/leila-wilson-woofle/symphony-of-blistered-skies ) into Dascillia ( https://soundcloud.com/leila-wilson-woofle/symphony-of-blistered-skies-1 )

Depending on the time of day when the party reaches the Dascillia side, either this, or the night version plays.
Mitala isn't a very big town, and mostly thrives on the mines nearby that travel under the river separating the two countries.   
Before the war, these mines were caught up in court, due to the fact that it couldn't be determined where exactly they were, in relation to the border, but now that the war has started, it looks like that is no longer a worry.
It isn't a particularly large town, but a pleasant one, nonetheless. War hasn't yet touched it.

Prairie Life [DAY]

This is a scene song from my personal project, Elancia Chronicles.

This plays during scenes of regret -- especially immediately after mistakes are made, and the consequences have played out.  These scenes are often dialogue-heavy, as characters generally don't just 'move on' in this story. It takes them a long time to process what they've seen, internalize it, and try to sort out exactly what they think and feel as a result.

Honestly, I'm moooostly happy with it, but there's a couple parts I will be going back to iron out later (for instance, there's one place where I completely screwed up while recording the guitar track. xD)

It was a particularly cold day in the 2nd month, and I was ten. All I remember is the tule fog. Mruse is honestly a bit of a shithole, and when the lanterns aren't being sent off into the sky, it is just a small dull town.  It lays smack dab in the middle of a wide, coastal valley, and is mostly populated by rice farmers and the like. These days, a lonely cowboy or two passes through ... like me.  No one stays though. I wish that this was more of a special place, because part of me died here."
