S.B.D. SynthRocK MiX

Recorded at Even Furthur, somewhere deep in the Wisconsin countryside. August 20th 2016. 

This mix was recorded 5 days after the Perc & Truss set at the 404 Festival in Italy, so naturally there is some overlap of tracks but I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks to Kurt and all the DBN team for making this happen and for everyone that danced with me.

From meditative 303 rhythms to heavy stomping industrial to blissful airy trance-like techno. Thanks to everyone who came but especially those who pounded the floor till the very end!

Pure has been making uncompromising electronic music since 1991 moving back and forth between danceable and purely listening music. As a vinyl-only DJ, he draws on 25+ years of experience playing a doomy, noisy, broken mix of techno, electro, acid, rave and industrial. His latest releases are on Ophism (as Pure) and aufnahme+wiedergabe (as Current 909). He has over 30 physical and digital releases on labels such as Editions Mego (as Pure, Bolder, and Ilsa Gold), on Hinterzimmer (with his electronic and
percussion duo PRSZR), on Crónica, Praxis, Staalplaat, Drop Bass Network and others. Amongst other projects of Pure is the Heart Chamber Orchestra; an award-winning audio-visual real-time composition for 12 musicians in which the heartbeats of the musicians create a score in real-time. Pure’s current solo live sets mix distorted broken beats with mixer feedbacks, modular synths and computer.

BIO:
MELANIA . is a Berlin based artist who’s musical adventure began by the end of 2014. Since then she regulary plays Europe-wide and well known clubs like Tresor, about:blank, IFZ, Arena Club or last but not least, Suicide Circus, where she is a frequent host of the widely known Rituals series. Moreover she’s a co-founder of the project VERZERRUNG, which is mainly focused on the Industrial/Wave party series at the the renowned Project Lab in Poznan (Poland) besides that she is a frequent resident at Hirscheneck in Basel (Switzerland).
Above all that, Melania is firmly focused on her own productions, which so far have been released on aufnahme+wiedergabe, Oraculo Records, Subsist Records, Labrynth and Round.
Her eclectic sets are mostly based on energetic Industrial, Techno, EBM, Electro, Rhytmic Noise and Experimental. Means heavy genres which she periodically combines with a creative touch of uplifting and emotional melodies/vocals or unexpected change of atmosphere. Her selection is completely focused on her feeling, thereby it stays beyond limitations to a specific genre.
This sound evokes what is beyond the words, reaches directly to the heart and unleashes the soul. Each of her sets is a story with a complex plot, keeping her audience in constant suspense and anticipation. Her unique vibe relies on unpredictability and constantly being on the move.
