It all started with The Prodigy, they were his first music influence, later on Antoine Clamaran and Carl Cox, today Dubfire, Carola, Luciano. He found the world of DJing fascinating with all the different genres, from techno then house and dark progressive and finally minimal-tech-house which he now plays and produces. Had gigs in many clubs across Serbia and at the Exit fest, Foam Fest and Love Fest. His tracks were played by Dubfire, Hawtin, Carola, Umek, Varela, Spartaque, Oxia... but the biggest support comes
from Deeperfect owner Stefano Noferini.

Gianni Filippo Ruocco conocido en el medio como Dj Gianni Ruocco, comienza su vida artistica en 1995 formando parte de mini tks y fiestas caseras.

  En el año 1998 comienza su carrera de dj tocando techno en casas y garaje, en este año se involuvra con el genero del tribal y empieza su vida de produccion musical con su primer track llamado Tribumba clasificado en la linea del tribal house, luego en el año 2000 empieza a tocar en la zona rosa de bogota en un club llamado insomnia el cual le abrio las puertas a varios clubes de la zona como Gotica, Bless, Bar C, Etc.

  Al pasar del tiempo es convocado hacer parte del cierre del festival de verano en bogota en el 2002 y su desempeño y tecnica estuvo acompañado de dos grandes de la escena como dj Plastik y Dj Chiki de Inducana.

  En el 2005 se Expande por ciudades como Villavicencio, Ibague, Tunja, Medellin haciendo difundir sus generos del Tribal, House y Techno, despues de este auge de su carrera fuera de la capital se relaciona con el genero del Hardtechno y su carrera de dj da un vuelco total para formar parte del medio underground en la zona centrica de la capital organizando fiestas al lado de dj Chrissdeck con quien deciden fundar la Organizacion Uranobeat, la cual se caracterizo por abrirle las puertas a los nuevos talentos y brindarles la oportunidad de darse a conocer, en el 2006 su desempeño se expande y es posicionado para hacer parte de las fiestas de Warehouse Organizacion cuyos lugares de eventos seguian por el medio under como el antiguo siam,

  Su posicionamiento en el 2007 vuelve a cambiar de genero debido a que empieza a formar parte de Metropolis Club en el norte de la capital con sonidos entre el electro y el house, Dj gianni ruocco se involucra tanto con el club que decide seguir con su linea electro y asi formar parte de los dj's residentes del mismo.

  Gianni Ruocco en el 2008 empieza su carrera como empresario en el medio electronico involucrando la marca uranobeat con la visita de artistas internacionales como lo son Ferry Corsten, Mike Harrington, Sharam, Rino Cerrone, Christian Smith, The H2O Project entre otros.
  Obviamente no deja de perder la energia en las mesas de mezcla y aparte de involucrarse en el medio empresarial aporta sus toques en algunos eventos de este nivel de talla internacional.

  Para finalizar en el 2009 crea Urbanbeat Fest que es una fiesta tematica desarrollada mensualmente donde abarca mas de 2000 personas en dos ambientes electronicos. 

  El pensamiento que lo reconoce en el  medio es honestidad y rectitud en todo negocio o amistad.

Omar Labastida is one of Mexico’s most respected figures in the global electronic music scene — a true pioneer who has shaped the underground house movement across Latin America and beyond for over two decades.

His journey began at just 15 years old, spinning records at Emporium Discoteque in Mexico City. Born into a family of live musicians, Omar’s deep connection to rhythm and percussion has defined his musical identity ever since. Influenced by legends like Danny Tenaglia and Frankie Knuckles, his sound blends Tech House, Deep House, and tribal grooves into emotionally driven, dancefloor-focused sets that are both technically precise and spiritually rich.
Throughout his career, Omar has held iconic residencies at venues such as Pacha Mexico, La Boom Cancún, and the legendary Blue Parrot in Playa del Carmen. He has performed in Colombia, Chile, Thailand, Spain, Italy, Norway, Portugal, and Amsterdam, sharing stages with global heavyweights like Carl Cox, Marco Carola, Richie Hawtin, The Martinez Brothers, Maya Jane Coles, Adam Beyer, and Luciano. In 2025, he will mark a career milestone with his debut at the Ministry of Sound in London.

Omar is also the co-founder and Artistic Director of Downtown Tulum Radio, a platform born out of a desire to preserve the soul of underground music in the Riviera Maya and offer a non-commercial, globally connected space for artists to thrive. Through the radio, he curates sets from rising and established DJs, produces showcases, and leads the DTR DJ Academy, where he personally teaches students the art of mixing with vinyl — a core part of his philosophy on musical integrity.

In parallel, Omar runs Riviera Underground, a label and events brand focused on authentic musical curation rooted in Latin rhythm and global groove. It has hosted showcases across Europe and the Americas, amplifying voices that carry purpose, culture, and creativity.

With over 200 original productions and remixes on labels like, Stereo Productions, Deeperfect, Toolrom, Rawthentic, 303 Lovers,Younan Music and more, Omar continues to evolve in the studio, blending analog warmth with modern digital tools to craft tracks that feel alive.
