This DJ and aspiring producer from Poland has been mixing for 2 years. He picked up DJing a few months after joining the rave scene thanks to Muzz's Virtual Reality tour. He said that he's always wanted to have a hobby that was closely related to electronic music, so after messing around in the software he got a DDJ-200 for Christmas, and well you know the rest of the story. His favorite part about this whole experience is expressing himself through music and well as enjoying it with others. Behind the decks, he feels this freedom to play whatever music he wants and string songs together in different ways to create both memorable journeys and bass-heavy rides, and when he manages to do both it's even better. He also loves meeting people through this hobby who share the same passion for music. Since his journey began he's played at places like  DERELICT, Hive Mind, Vaultage, Vanguard, Club Melody, Fishbowl, SUBSYSTEM, Sanctum, and others. He's also played at a few IRL venues in his country. He likes to experiment with various genres like Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Breakbeat, Bass House, and others.

For this set, he wanted to showcase his usual and favorite way of mixing Drum & Bass, blending different tunes from deep Dub to Neurofunk and even bits of Techno here and there, to create a blend with a slightly ominous vibe. Think of this mix as something that plays in a futuristic nightclub, haunted by a ghost. Sounds familiar if you know what I mean. His favorite song in today's mix is Lucifer by IMANU.

Outside of DJing his favorite things to do are play games with friends or himself, streaming, making videos, cycling, and photography -- and his favorite non-edm song is House of the Rising Sun by The Animals.

This DJ from New York has been mixing for 2 years, 22 days, 3 hours, and 44, no I'm sorry, 45 minutes. He was inspired to start DJing after seeing a bunch of his friends play live. His favorite part about DJing is everyone rushing the stage at the end the tell you how much they enjoyed the set. Since starting he's played at various venues and events such as RNG, TUNL, WCKD, Club Yerba, Star Party, CTRLR, Techno Abyss, SnowGrid, and his event Noise Complaint. His favorite genres to spin are Jersey Club, Dariacore, Baile Funk, Drum n Bass, Dubstep, and Trap. For today's mix, he just wanted to try something a bit different for y'all. One of his favorite songs on today's mix is Get a Clu by Cluli.

Outside of DJing, he enjoys playing paintball and airsoft, his favorite non-edm song is Welcome To My Life by Simple Plan, and he said that he likes to try to help his homies as best as he can even if he hasn't talked to them in a while. True friendship right there.

This DJ and Producer from Atlanta Georgia has been mixing for around 3 years. Back in 2015 Skrillex performed at Ultra Music Festival and cemented this DJ's love of bass music and trap. This was the catalyst for them to start learning about other genres, and eventually starting to emulate the sounds they heard kicking off their journey in music production. For them, the best part of it all is getting to experience being connected with the music, especially for a live crowd where they're all experiencing it together. Since starting to play in VR about 2 years ago, they've played at a few venues including Offshore, ResonanceVR, DJ's United, and House. Their favorite genres to play out are House and Bass House, Trap, and Jersey Club which is what I know them for. We interacted on SoundCloud a few times before I finally met them in VR. Today's mix is inspired by their growth as an artist, and their expansion into other genres as well as making their music. Their favorite track on today's set is Burn by Nikko! He's one of this DJ's favorite artists in Bass Music and says they're such an inspiration to them. Look at Nikko man so inspirational. Also just a little tidbit, their favorite non-edm is Darling Drive by Sam Gellaitry. 

Finally, they'll be opening for Lit Lords at The Site in Atlanta Georgia on May 11th.

Coming from Florida, this DJ, producer, and singer has been mixing since August of 2021! He was inspired to pick up DJing from his brother who some of y'all may or may not know is dj-jo and from Sly Fest 2021. Since starting in VR he's played at various venues and events with some highlights including Rizumu, VRCon, Tube, TVRS Studio, 7D, Schism, Star Party, TUNL, Hardbox, Kaleidosky, Boat, BCTO, VKet, his very own Nurtured event, and others! His favorite genres to mix are UKG, Bassline, House, DNB, and his original edits of Porter Robinson's songs. He told me that today's mix is inspired by his newfound love of artists like Sammy Virji, Oppidan, MPH, and general UKG and Bassline-type beats. His favorite song on today's set is Still Here (With the ones that I Came With) by Skrillex, Porter Robinson, and Bibi Bourelly. Outside of DJing, he's a Licenced Practical Nurse and he takes care of intellectually disabled individuals. His favorite activity outside of DJing is League of Legends where he is an Aatrox main whom he has 1.7 million master points for. And, his favorite non edm song is Little Blue by Jacob Collier.

This DJ and producer from Seattle Washington has been mixing for almost 4 years. They've always been involved in music somehow whether it was playing instruments or producing music. DJing was something they took an interest in because of the ability to express themselves through transforming other people's art into something new and unique. They told me that the ability that DJing has to bring people together and make them happy is why they keep going. The community has helped them meet amazing friends, given them cool opportunities, and given them a sense of community. The most rewarding part about the whole thing is people coming up to them after a show to tell them they contributed to a good night!

Since starting in VR they've played at some events and venues including Diesel Works, Spyral, Raft, Googie records, Lower Levels, BCTO, an event in Chicago named dataNET, and Lyoko. They specifically wanted me to shout out their homies at Lyoko. Hi, lyoko crew hope you're doing well. 

When I asked them what genre they liked playing out they told me that no matter what they always find their way back to dubstep in one form or another. Today's mix is influenced by this DJ's love of music that makes their brain go brr. Sound design is super important to them. If a track can steal their attention away because of a goofy noise, they know they've found something they'll enjoy. This mix also includes tracks that were produced by members of the VRChat community! Their favorite song on today's mix is a track that Clyde Machine produced for Slopfest titled "Gods Don't Speak", which has some deep dub vibes that impressed them enough to yoink it for today. 

Outside of DJing, they enjoy doing anything that involves spending time with friends. Recently they've been saying Audience Freestyle is their favorite way of doing that; they said they didn't realize that improv acting could be so fun. 
They're also really good at Mario Kart and their favorite non edm song is Feels So Good by Chuck Mangione which was also one of their favorite songs as a kid. They wanted to give another quick shoutout to Lyoko. They have a lot of cool things happening this year.

This DJ and aspiring from Austin Texas has been mixing for 2 years. She's always had an interest in music and grew up playing piano. When she was a teenager she dipped her toes into electronic music production. Still, unfortunately, her passion for music eventually faded due to the lack of good community support she felt she didn't have. When she discovered the VR music scene, though, she fell in love with the passion people had for music and the openness of the scene. Finally, after a lot of peer pressure from good friends and a perfectly legally acquired copy of virtual DJ, she was able to reignite her passion for music. Her favorite part of it all is playing music with her friends. Since starting in VR she's played various venues and events including but not limited to Lyoko, Offshore, The VRC Trans Academy, Nekomata, Black Market, Sushi House, Shelter, and her own venue Star Party. Her favorite genres to play out are Breakbeat and Techno, which there is plenty of in today's mix, including the Sirdapes Edit of Sad Bitch by IC3PEAK, which is her favorite song on today's mix. When I asked her the inspiration behind today's mix, she simply said "Coffee and Estrogen". 

Outside of DJing, she likes to code for fun. She made a basic desktop assistant that crashes really easily when it gets overwhelmed, just like her!  She also dabbles in photography, and her favorite non-edm song is True Trans Soul Rebel by Against Me.

This DJ from Missouri has been mixing for 3 years. He credits being involved with a DJ collective known as Underground and having great DJ friends in VRChat as being his main inspirations in his DJ journey. He said his favorite part is getting the crowd to vibe with your set, especially when you rip a good drop or double and everyone starts to lose their minds. Some events and venues he's played in VR include but aren't limited to Sanctum, Shelter, Heist, Baptizm, DDVR, Rizumu, Rhythm, Reflections, Flow, Vaultage, Claustrophobia, and 7D. His favorite genre to play out at these shows is, you guessed it, Drum and Bass. For today's mix, he curated some of his favorite old and new goodies, making him continue to love mixing and listening to drum and bass. One of those tracks is Coach by Reaper, which he says is his favorite song on today's set. 

Outside of DJing, he enjoys watching movies, playing MMOs, disc golf, and bowling. His favorite non-edm song is Enemies by Post Malone.

This DJ from the DC Area has been mixing since October of 2021 so about 3 years give or take. She had been captivated by the music scene in 2021 with events and venues like Loner, Shelter, Grost's Ethos, Holly's Data Fiesta/Cyber Net Cafe, and Ghost Club being valuable spaces for her because she felt more comfortable talking to and meeting others that were enthusiastic about creating and sharing art. This, in turn, led to her to try and pick up DJing because of her desire to engage more with music. She also wants to give a quick shoutout to Static. She was very intimidated about sharing self-expression and Slippy specifically reached out to her often to play which she says helped her get over her fear. Besides being excited to see how people react to the music, her favorite part of it all is highlighting really cool and interesting tracks by controlling how they're placed. Since playing in VR She's played at various venues and events with some of her highlights being Loner, Midnight Luv, Static, Redacted, Golden Sunset, and Friend Club which she is a cofounder of. She says creating friend club with/ her best friends has been incredibly empowering as it felt like a low-pressure space to express herself with the people she loves. 

When I asked her about her favorite genres to play out she said that she adores a lot of slower, 100-140 bpm, textural and percussive music. She feels that the more she delves into the sound the more difficult it becomes to label it as a single genre and she honestly feels that that's okay.

Today's set is inspired by a lot of the sets she's listened to recently like Liquidtime for Palestine with CCL which introduces a lot of unexpected grooves, and Powder's Sustain Release 2017 set that isn't afraid of more leftfield/difficult tracks to mix with. 

Outside of DJing, she enjoys bunnyhopping which is a rare activity that can be both meditative and extremely competitive. She also tried to have a Minecraft youtube career between 2011 and 2013 which she says was epic and her favorite non edm song is SoothSayer by Buckethead. 

Finally, She will be running another IRl friend club show in DC so pull up to that if you can and there will also be another Maghouse VR event sometime in August or September that she will be running as well.
