From Los Angeles, CA, This DJ has been mixing for about 2 years but producing for 10 years. They like to play club music with an emphasis on experimental sounds, feminine energy, and whimsical ambiance. DJing to them is a way to let their emotions be free and allows them to express themselves in a way that's impossible with words. They've played at most of the well-known clubs, lap dance events, NSFW events, and a variety of small events that they run with their friends. For this mix they've selected songs that resonate with their emotions, stripping down pop music and ripping it from the original context. They're releasing a song on a compilation soon with a few of their friends and other people you might recognize from VRChat.

This DJ from the East Coast first started DJ'ing with a M+KB in FFXIV around Sept 2021. Watching her online friends DJ is what inspired her to get a controller. She ended up not doing a lot after that but her interest was rekindled after going to so many shows in VR. She considers the start of her "DJ Career" to be last June. She associates the original spark with the aforementioned friends tho <3.
She enjoys playing a lot of genres, which she knows is a boring answer, but it's the truth. She's been fortunate to play in a lot of places like: All of Lyoko's venues, Snowgrid, Shelter, & VR Egypt among many others.
In this mix, she explored memories and the kinds of moods she's been feeling lately. And lastly, she's finally working on music for her side project. Milkysoft is a passion project of hers where she gets to make music that she normally doesn't have the chance to.

This DJ from Germany has been mixing for a couple of years but VR and the friends she made actively got her back into DJing again. What she plays and what she listens to privately can be very different but they also come together in a cool mix,But she's into a wide range of different genres like wave/hard-wave, ambient stuff, dreamy music, trap, rap, house, and also everything that comes with breaks. She's played at many venues in VRChat, almost too many to mention, but she started off exploring this scene in the EU. Mainly, though, you can find her play/organize her own events like CellBind and Concrete.

This mix is influenced by the past weeks of events and emotions she has gone through and tracks she's gathered that resonate with her feelings. And while she doesn't have anything to promote, she only has some words for everyone, and those are "Be nice to people"

This DJ from Taipei Taiwan has been DJ'ing for over 12 years now, one of which was in VR. His DJ style is influenced by DJs like Takkyu Ishino, Technasia, Dave Clarke, and Space DJz. His go-to genres are Techno, UK Garage, House, Happy Hardcore, and more. They've played at Monday Relief, Shelter, EXCEED, Club Magenta, and E.C.H.O. The inspiration behind this set he's put together for us were the fun, groovy Techno DJ sets from the late 90s to the early 2000s. Lastly, he would like to welcome you all to join their future events at E.C.H.O, a VR Club created by the super-talented Rokumori that this DJ helps organize.

From Oak Harbor, Washington, this DJ discovered his passion for mixing in 2019 after watching Ekali at Firefly Fest & watching all the DJ's on Insomniac's live streams during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, he is also learning how to produce music.

He's played at various VRChat venues, including Shelter, Vaultage, SnowGRID, OFFSHORE, Techno Tuesday, Breakcore Takeover, and his own venue, The Mob. His favorite genres to mix are Hard Techno and Jersey Club, which never fail to get the crowd going. For him, the best part about DJ'ing is seeing people dance and interact with his music, regardless of the crowd's size.

The set that he's put together was inspired by his past three major sets at Shelter, SNOWGrid, and Vaultage. He wanted to take the audience on a journey and showcase all aspects of his mind while DJ'ing during the past year. One of his favorite tracks in this mix is Amagii's remix of Love Burns by Nazaar, a song that brings out a lot of emotion for him and his friend Halo.

When he's not DJ'ing, he enjoys longboarding and playing Call of Duty with his friends Mexii and Azarya. Despite being known for playing Hard Techno and Jersey Club, he's a huge indie fan, with Quiet Light by The National being one of his favorite songs. A lot of his IRL friends are actually surprised to know that he likes playing hard genres.

This DJ from the VR Space has been mixing for a little over a year now. He was inspired to pick up DJ'ing after seeing his friends DJ and Dance in VR and wanted to join in. In fact, he told me the only reason he plays music is purely because it's fun and he wants to be dancing to the music he's playing. He feels fortunate to have venues and outlets that let him play whatever he happens to be enjoying without feeling pressured to play a specific type of music. He said and I quote "It makes me dance, I hope it makes you dance too". As of right now his go to genres are Club, Hard Drum, UK Funky, Ratchet Shit, and "Music That Will Make Me Gayer" My favorite genre. When asked what is the inspiration for this week's mix, he said "This one's for all the furry femboys out there 😻😻😻"

Coming from Vasha, Circuit City, this DJ and producer has been mixing for 4 years. She's played at a good bit of VRChat Venues including Bloodbath, Net Cafe Cache, Ethos, Claustrophobia, Daytoadna 420, Moe's Lawn Care, Angel's dream capsule hotel, Ragehauz, friend club, shark hut, and of course Motel Roze. She's also technically played at Cell Bind before it was held at Concrete. When I asked what got her into DJ'ing she told me she was kind of into radio back in Highschool and would often try to make "shows" for people on CDs or eventually just MP3s that she'd send to people. Eventually, the concept of DJ'ing was brought up to her as a dare once at a party, and while it was absolutely nerve-wracking, something inside of her felt really electric doing it. Eventually, she started getting into music production, which took off more when she formed her band named "2PMode" with her partner Atlas. Her favorite genres to play are NXC, Netpunk, Plunderphonics, Mashcore, Trance, & Hip-hop. Outside of DJ'ing she really likes making visual art and recently got back into video editing. Outside of that? Big fan of Fortnite and card games. and one of her favorite non-EDM songs is I Don't Wanna Die from the Ging Nang Boyz. She also used to make games, tabletop, and very small visual novels. Her online persona comes from one of those games, a small unfinished demo of a Cyberpunk present-day where an AOL trial disk tries to murder you. She's currently reworking that into a comic.

She also told me she has Agoraphobia and has a really hard time opening up to others, but when she DJs she puts her entire self out there online. She gets to tell a story, she gets to be stronger, braver, and have more Charisma. She's invincible. She told me "We put our souls out for others, and while  easy to get bruised and tarnish the entrapped frames of our memory, no matter what, the shots inside make the pillar of what's you." She's really thankful she gets to share her soul with others in ways that feel genuine. Her online persona is like a mask but one that she gets to wear with pride and one that connects her heart to others. She thank you all for giving her a face to be proud of, anyone who has ever made memories with her. "Connections are precious, build a better net for me and you" she said. 

For this mix, she channeled the feelings of Ennui, Inertia, feeling lost late at night, and a meaningful walk down the highway bridge. and one of her favorite songs in this mix is Barriers and Pitfalls by Cloudy.

This DJ and producer from the United States has been mixing for 4 years now. They've always loved live shows but DJing always seemed out of reach as a hobby. All that changed when they found Loner Online. Seeing their friend Velatix perform for the first time was a huge inspiration to them to start DJing. Some of their favorite genres to mix are Breaks, Electro, Acid, and IDM. They've played at a bunch of venues in VR including Concrete, Ghost Club, M.A.S.S., Tube, Sanctum, Shelter, Loner, and PITCH BLACK ENERGY. Speaking of Pitch Black Energy, their theme for this week's mix is Pitch Black Energy.

This stylish DJ from Atlantic Canada has been mixing for about a year now. He started learning how to DJ because of the encouragement from his good friends and fellow staff over at Friend Club, who kept asking him and teaching him things about DJing. Since starting he's played at a few venues in VR, including Boat, Shelter, Black Market, Static, and his own venue, Golden Sunset. His go-to genre to play is fun House music from the '90s and early 2000s. He really appreciates anything with a fun atmosphere and a danceable beat. For him, dancing around and sharing the music he loves with friends is his favorite part of DJing. For this week's Garage30 mix, he wanted to share some sunny sounds he's been enjoying this year. His favorite song on this mix is the Can 7 Supermarket Mix of Sing it Back by Moloko. He goes out of his way to find Can7's remixes because they really how to transform a track into a summery fun masterpiece. Outside of DJing, some of his favorite hobbies are VR Fashion and Cosplay Videography. In fact, if you've ever seen this DJ in VR before, you'll know that he always has a nice outfit that has a very clear theme. I love seeing his outfits to be honest. One fun fact about him is that he has a bunch of Championship medals from playing curling with my high school team. Also, he spent a lot of his youth volunteering with Canadian indie & folk music festivals. Because of this Lewis Takes Off His Shirt by Owen Pallett is a song that still resonates deeply with him today, after seeing it performed live in a thunderstorm.

This DJ from the Den-Bosch area of The Netherlands has been mixing since October of 2019. She began her journey when the Rhythm game "Spin Rhythm XD" popped up on her Twitter feed which prominently featured the ability to play the game using DJ decks. I actually also own this game and thought it was fun asf to play with my DJ board. This feature, however, led her to buy the cheapest DJ deck she could find which helped her explore Virtual DJ a bit. It wasn't until 2021 when she first watched Straz's video about the VRChat rave scene when she fell in love with the idea of DJing even more. She feels that she's not very creative when it comes to making music from scratch, so DJing helps her express herself musically. Playing tracks she already enjoys in unique and interesting ways, and creating journeys for the listener is what kinda made her invest more of her time into DJing. 

Since starting she's played at a few venues and events including but not limited to Fishbowl, KYUUB, ARCTFEST, MR. SHOEZ, TECHNEU, Claustrophobia, and Vibefest. Her go-to genres include Breakcore, Techno, IDM, Ambient, and Noise. Catching the audience off-guard with tracks that make people go "wow...", but in a good way, is one of her favorite parts of DJing. 

For today's mix, she wanted to revisit her first set ever in VR which she performed at FUCK YOU TOO, which is the name of an event I swear. She fondly looks back at that set, and she really wanted to make a spiritual successor for it. Garage30 gives her the time to fully sink her teeth into it and make it the best she can. Her favorite song in today's mix is a song called "Quotient".* When elaborating she said, "Piano is an instrument that has a hold over me like no other. And it's a track from one of the first Albums I've ever bought with my own money. So it means something to me I guess." 

Outside of DJ'ing she really likes completing puzzles with her partner, she has and uses an Osu! lanyard that she got 4 years ago even though she hasn't played Osu! in over a decade, and her favorite non-EDM song is Blossom by Porter Robinson, which I know might not really make sense to some since it's featured on a predominantly electronic album, but I'm like pretty sure the only "edm-y" element of the song is Porter's nurture voice effect, but the song is like mainly a piano that sounds like an acoustic guitar and singing so I'll let we'll give her a pass this time. 

Finally, she's always open for bookings, and she generally streams every day from 8 PM CEST to 10 PM CEST on Twitch.
