This DJ from the VR Space has been mixing for a little over a year now. He was inspired to pick up DJ'ing after seeing his friends DJ and Dance in VR and wanted to join in. In fact, he told me the only reason he plays music is purely because it's fun and he wants to be dancing to the music he's playing. He feels fortunate to have venues and outlets that let him play whatever he happens to be enjoying without feeling pressured to play a specific type of music. He said and I quote "It makes me dance, I hope it makes you dance too". As of right now his go to genres are Club, Hard Drum, UK Funky, Ratchet Shit, and "Music That Will Make Me Gayer" My favorite genre. When asked what is the inspiration for this week's mix, he said "This one's for all the furry femboys out there 😻😻😻"

This DJ from Melbourne, Australia has been mixing for 11 years now. He was inspired to start DJing after seeing HYPERJUICE play at Mogra back in 2012. He's played at a lot of VR Venues including Concrete, Sanctum, Ghost Club, Heist, Shelter, and of course Loner. Some of his favorite genres to mix are Garage, UK Funky, Jungle, GQOM, Dubstep, and Footwork. He said that one of the most rewarding things about DJing for him is Playing to his friends. Recently, he's been playing a lot of genres specific sets so for his Garage30 Mix he wanted to play a varied selection of some of his favorite tracks over the last 2 years. He also wanted to challenge himself to take a bunch of different genres and moods and sonically weld them into one cohesive listening experience and as special as all the tracks in this mix are to him, Watapachi's Juice 88 featuring ArthurX has kind of been the soundtrack to his life recently. The carefree vibe of the vocals is perfectly complemented by the always incredible production of Watapachi. Outside of DJing, he loves exploring the city. Honestly, he finds a lot of cool places, sometimes he posts photos to his twitter and it's like dog I want to take pictures there or something it's sick. Also, he's infatuated with Jackets, one of his favorite non-edm songs is I wanna be adored by The Stone Roses, and he can play the Trumpet. This DJ and producer from the United States has been mixing for 4 years now. They've always loved live shows but DJing always seemed out of reach as a hobby. All that changed when they found Loner Online. Seeing their friend Velatix perform for the first time was a huge inspiration to them to start DJing. Some of their favorite genres to mix are Breaks, Electro, Acid, and IDM. They've played at a bunch of venues in VR including Concrete, Ghost Club, M.A.S.S., Tube, Sanctum, Shelter, Loner, and PITCH BLACK ENERGY. Speaking of Pitch Black Energy, their theme for this week's mix is Pitch Black Energy.

Coming from Portland, Oregon, this DJ has been playing for 3 years now. He was inspired to start DJ'ing after attending an event at Lounge Neo during a trip to Tokyo in 2019. That sounds super sick I'm hoping if I ever get to visit Japan that I'll find time to attend an event like that. Since then he's played at a lot of venues in VR including CONCRETE, HEIST, Slyfest, Home, MASS, Sanctum, Cave, Tube, Claustrophobia, 1Q84, Rizumu, Deep Blue, Shelter, Ghost Club and of course Loner. Some of his favorite genres to spin are Leftfield Bass, Float House, Breaks, and Techno. For this week's mix he wanted to spin some airy dance music that he's been enjoying recently along with some tracks that he's been enjoying after seeing Salute in New York. This stylish DJ from Atlantic Canada has been mixing for about a year now. He started learning how to DJ because of the encouragement from his good friends and fellow staff over at Friend Club, who kept asking him and teaching him things about DJing. Since starting he's played at a few venues in VR, including Boat, Shelter, Black Market, Static, and his own venue, Golden Sunset. His go-to genre to play is fun House music from the '90s and early 2000s. He really appreciates anything with a fun atmosphere and a danceable beat. For him, dancing around and sharing the music he loves with friends is his favorite part of DJing. For this week's Garage30 mix, he wanted to share some sunny sounds he's been enjoying this year. His favorite song on this mix is the Can 7 Supermarket Mix of Sing it Back by Moloko. He goes out of his way to find Can7's remixes because they really how to transform a track into a summery fun masterpiece. Outside of DJing, some of his favorite hobbies are VR Fashion and Cosplay Videography. In fact, if you've ever seen this DJ in VR before, you'll know that he always has a nice outfit that has a very clear theme. I love seeing his outfits to be honest. One fun fact about him is that he has a bunch of Championship medals from playing curling with my high school team. Also, he spent a lot of his youth volunteering with Canadian indie & folk music festivals. Because of this Lewis Takes Off His Shirt by Owen Pallett is a song that still resonates deeply with him today, after seeing it performed live in a thunderstorm.

This DJ and producer from Northwest New Jersey has been mixing for about 2 years (question mark). When he was a little younger he used to perform live PA sets with Ableton for IRL gigs, but he never got into using a deck until playing VRChat. They missed doing those live PA sets, but they, unfortunately, had to put music on the back burner while he was in Grad school. When he discovered VRChat, he knew it would be a great outlet for him to continue to perform and share music he likes. Seeing his friends having a good time and making new connections is the best part for him. Since starting he's played at Heist, Rizumu, MASS, Resonance, Dieselworks, Black Market, Sanctum, Tube, & Vaultage. When he first started mixing he played with only faster genres because he produced footwork jungle, but he's been branching out to slower tempos recently like breaks, club music, and baile. He figured that for today's mix he would reach back into his footwork bag and showcase a little bit of his earlier style. 
 
Outside of DJing, he loves one wheeling, which combines his love of technology with the outdoors. He has a masters in Interactive Media & Game Design, and his favorite non-EDM song of all time is This Woman's Work by Kate Bush.
