This DJ from Germany has been mixing for a couple of years but VR and the friends she made actively got her back into DJing again. What she plays and what she listens to privately can be very different but they also come together in a cool mix,But she's into a wide range of different genres like wave/hard-wave, ambient stuff, dreamy music, trap, rap, house, and also everything that comes with breaks. She's played at many venues in VRChat, almost too many to mention, but she started off exploring this scene in the EU. Mainly, though, you can find her play/organize her own events like CellBind and Concrete.

This mix is influenced by the past weeks of events and emotions she has gone through and tracks she's gathered that resonate with her feelings. And while she doesn't have anything to promote, she only has some words for everyone, and those are "Be nice to people"

This DJ from Melbourne, Australia has been mixing for 11 years now. He was inspired to start DJing after seeing HYPERJUICE play at Mogra back in 2012. He's played at a lot of VR Venues including Concrete, Sanctum, Ghost Club, Heist, Shelter, and of course Loner. Some of his favorite genres to mix are Garage, UK Funky, Jungle, GQOM, Dubstep, and Footwork. He said that one of the most rewarding things about DJing for him is Playing to his friends. Recently, he's been playing a lot of genres specific sets so for his Garage30 Mix he wanted to play a varied selection of some of his favorite tracks over the last 2 years. He also wanted to challenge himself to take a bunch of different genres and moods and sonically weld them into one cohesive listening experience and as special as all the tracks in this mix are to him, Watapachi's Juice 88 featuring ArthurX has kind of been the soundtrack to his life recently. The carefree vibe of the vocals is perfectly complemented by the always incredible production of Watapachi. Outside of DJing, he loves exploring the city. Honestly, he finds a lot of cool places, sometimes he posts photos to his twitter and it's like dog I want to take pictures there or something it's sick. Also, he's infatuated with Jackets, one of his favorite non-edm songs is I wanna be adored by The Stone Roses, and he can play the Trumpet. This DJ and producer from the United States has been mixing for 4 years now. They've always loved live shows but DJing always seemed out of reach as a hobby. All that changed when they found Loner Online. Seeing their friend Velatix perform for the first time was a huge inspiration to them to start DJing. Some of their favorite genres to mix are Breaks, Electro, Acid, and IDM. They've played at a bunch of venues in VR including Concrete, Ghost Club, M.A.S.S., Tube, Sanctum, Shelter, Loner, and PITCH BLACK ENERGY. Coming from Portland, Oregon, this DJ has been playing for 3 years now. He was inspired to start DJ'ing after attending an event at Lounge Neo during a trip to Tokyo in 2019. That sounds super sick I'm hoping if I ever get to visit Japan that I'll find time to attend an event like that. Since then he's played at a lot of venues in VR including CONCRETE, HEIST, Slyfest, Home, MASS, Sanctum, Cave, Tube, Claustrophobia, 1Q84, Rizumu, Deep Blue, Shelter, Ghost Club and of course Loner. Some of his favorite genres to spin are Leftfield Bass, Float House, Breaks, and Techno. This DJ and producer from Seattle has been mixing for 11 years. Starting off life as a musician in multiple bands, he started getting into music production when Skrillex was first putting American audiences on to dubstep. Being a performing artist, he reluctantly picked up a Numark Mixtrack and then started to learn how to play out the music he was making. Since then he's fallen in love with DJ'ing. He feels that anyone can mix, but not everyone can tell a story or take you on a journey with a mix. Nothing rewards him more than finishing a mix and feeling like people "got it" His go-to genres are anything at 150 BPM, a bunch of Drum n Bass, and he's working hard on incorporating speedcore. This mix specifically mainlines drum and bass. Bouncing off of that, this mix sets the stage as the summer's end mix, which segues from hard and fun summer songs to autumnal Seasonal Affective Disorder drum and bass. Outside of DJ'ing he works as an engineer on an oil rig. Thankfully the Hibernia S.E. rig has top-grade Internet connectivity and ample space in the accommodation quarters for VR use. 

He said he's going to be taking steps to remind everyone that he produces music. Throughout the year of 2024 he will be releasing all the stuff he's been writing and stockpiling in 2023. Other than that he hopes people come through to all the upcoming OFFSHORE shows, and the various other shows he will be at during the rest of the year. I hope you all get to visit OFFSHORE too! This DJ and sometimes rarely kinda maybe producer from Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada, has been mixing for almost 2 years. on Feb 12th 2022 he attended his first shelter event. he was in an overflow instance and seeing all of the people hanging out in the alley gave him a good feeling about the event. it was further validated when the gate opened for the first time and he ran down the stairs with the crowd of people - he really started to get a sense of what he got himself into. When the music started he was hooked and really wanted to try DJing in VR. He started attending every weekend which resulted in him meeting more new people and before he knew it he found a large group of awe-inspiring people. He's super happy he found this community and loves everyone in it from the bottom of his heart. In fact, the most rewarding thing about his whole experience is all the people he's met. Since starting he's played at a few venues including Techno Tuesday, SnowGRID, Alurek, Shelter, Static, Lyoko, Comeback, TUNL, Wired Voices, Breakcore Takeover, Redacted, and OFFSHORE which he co-owns with his friend Clyde Machine. His go-to genres are Trance, Breakcore, Techno, and Drum n Bass. For this mix, he said he's always wanted to make a mix for himself, so these are all songs that hold a special place in his heart. This stylish DJ from Atlantic Canada has been mixing for about a year now. He started learning how to DJ because of the encouragement from his good friends and fellow staff over at Friend Club, who kept asking him and teaching him things about DJing. Since starting he's played at a few venues in VR, including Boat, Shelter, Black Market, Static, and his own venue, Golden Sunset. His go-to genre to play is fun House music from the '90s and early 2000s. He really appreciates anything with a fun atmosphere and a danceable beat. For him, dancing around and sharing the music he loves with friends is his favorite part of DJing. For this week's Garage30 mix, he wanted to share some sunny sounds he's been enjoying this year. His favorite song on this mix is the Can 7 Supermarket Mix of Sing it Back by Moloko. He goes out of his way to find Can7's remixes because they really how to transform a track into a summery fun masterpiece. Outside of DJing, some of his favorite hobbies are VR Fashion and Cosplay Videography. In fact, if you've ever seen this DJ in VR before, you'll know that he always has a nice outfit that has a very clear theme. I love seeing his outfits to be honest. One fun fact about him is that he has a bunch of Championship medals from playing curling with my high school team. Also, he spent a lot of his youth volunteering with Canadian indie & folk music festivals. Because of this Lewis Takes Off His Shirt by Owen Pallett is a song that still resonates deeply with him today, after seeing it performed live in a thunderstorm.

This DJ from the Pacific Northwest has been DJing for 2 and a half years! In his past, he and his friends would go to a lot of typical Midwest emo or post-punk music shows, and he was very surprised when he would get dragged to other stages that had visceral Electronic Music playing, which had very distorted and mind-bending sounds while still being groovy! Selections he best describes as being similar to Four Tet or Boards of Canada. His experience with Electronic records felt like something to listen alone to at the time, and he could never really picture himself dancing around alone or with other people and sharing a lot of the emotions. His friends actually roasted him for his lack of dance skills, but they were all really buzzed about it the whole time. After discovering VRChat he had some very eye-opening experiences that made him very nostalgic of those times with his friends at indie music fests.

Club-going in VRChat had him exposed in a similar fashion to new genres and styles of music. DJing felt like a nice extension, sharing similar experiences with friends and a nice creative outlet. He felt confident enough to try DJing, his benchmark for playing tunes was primarily informed by being on the dancefloor with his friends. He describes this as Could I picture my friends and I dancing to this rhythm? How would I feel? I think it's so important to me, otherwise, it starts to become soulless, and at the end of the day it's dance music!" Since starting he's found his home with hard-hitting genres like dub, electro, techno, and punchy breakbeat. He's also played at many venues, but his favorite shows took place at Concrete, Loner, Heist, and Deep Blue.
For today's mix, he's included some tracks off the record label Ilian Tape, and R&S records that have been a huge influence with him. Finally, he runs a monthly event with his friend Frillz, in a map called Unlocked - a rave set on the historical London Tower Bridge Walkway. The sweetheart of the music scene, This DJ from DC has been mixing for 2 years. She started picking up DJing after VRChat user CatBoyVR Was hit by a bus and died a horrible death. Since starting in VR they've played at a few venues including Golden Sunset, Mister Shoes, TUNL, Static, and Shelter. When I asked her what genres she likes to play, she told me she has ADHD. That's it. Today's mix is inspired by Friend Club, which is a group that she is a founding member of. Back when Friend Club was first established, they held events where DJs were given 15-minute time slots to play a mix. I actually played at one of those events it was the first time I played Jersey Club which was a lot of fun. As a homage to those days, this set is composed of 4, 15 minute sets. The only fun fact she gave me is that she's trans.
