Nat came up with this lovely piano track and we let it sit for a while before I finally gave it a try with some words and my take on a melody to start it off. Nat then wrote her half of the lyrics and we harvested this somewhat ultimate ode to love between two soul mates. It accents the journey through failures and disappointment to finally connect with the lasting fulfillment. The happy comfort of finally reaching home.

Despite living and working in the UK for decades, many of the Windrush generation's children were told they were there illegally because of a lack of official paperwork. The scandal, which broke in April 2018, saw the UK government belatedly apologise for deportation threats made.

Footnote: I purchased my first guitar, an Epiphone studio dot and a small fender amp and I decided to add to this track having looked up the three chords, blushin' at my audacity!

This instrumental is inspired by a winter forest, the snow has come and everything is quiet as i walk through the forest, not a sound except my walking and breathing, peace at last  and all is good in the world for a moment .
