Waiting patiently for the Witch to arrive wearing cape and cowl 
embroidered by some elven folk who live on down south..

And it's so cold my beard is white..
I meet her in the trail half-way and we embrace, i turn and walk back to our little place, up in the draw, where the stove is cherry red.

Wilfried Hanrath - Nearly Home, with STONERJAZZ and spinthedrum

This is a guitar piece done long ago depicting 5 moods...there are other excerpts from this work on this page, and a fantastic treatment by Devin Locke who broke it into 2 songs some time last year (ragged/spat/coin and 4plain/I'm not opposed).. I was somehow able to get tones out my stratocaster That i have never quite been able to duplicate....so here it is ..the whole enchalada!!

The Krux Of The Bisquit

Three oclock in the afternoon, on the 15th day of june, under the spell of a pisces moon.
i got down to write this tune..
You know, no one cares what you think.
can somebody get me a drink...a double shot of cuervo gold on the rocks 
would be just fine'
i can never really seem to draw the line. 
Sun and birds and water, my mother's favorite daughters. 
we march into the slaughter with our heads up high.
Turn that little voice off in my head.
i'm not sure if i'm here or if i'm back in bed.
it's ok either way, i just glad that i'm not dead.

Overstated underrated slightly dated speculatiions on the origins related to complicit complications of intention and the nature of invention in the manufacture of reality.
so here we are in the shifting landscapes of our individuality.
And thank you for allowing me to wander around your brain, i would never knowingly cause you any pain.

Double Shot-a-Cuervo Gold on the Rocks

i don't think i'm going home, this thing won't leave me alone..I've got fragments of the sun and moon imbedded in the core of my cerebral stem.. and of course there is that key That's allegedly buried in this pile of sacred rocks in space that supposedly unlocks the gate that holds the dog and holds the bone and blocks the path that takes me home.

Check yourself, what are you feeling at the present moment..Some times i can feel the giant moving slightly in it's sleep.. just like Vishnu dreaming high in the mountain valleys of the mighty Himalayas.

This is the poem and second verse from the song "Johnny and the holy Din" which is a collaboration with Tea Are Sea, Uziel, and me... it was initially done acapella.. i was so taken with Uziels beautiful vocal collaboration that i wanted to publish it as an acapella  work , so here it is. fyi, it has a long trailer at the end i was not able to delete..

THE PURPOSE

Well it was my lucky day when Ava aka spinthedrum consented to lay a drum track down alongside a freestyle guitar track that i did a while back.. incredibly, this is a single take jam from an amazing percussionist, playing a brand new Roland digital Kit..She just sat down and did it!!!!!! Needless to say, i am blown away!!

The drumming in this track comes mostly from a .spinthedrum  track New.drums.7 that was looped..Another stellar performance!!! The rest of the sounds were created with electric guitar and voice...The Clave rhythm of the drums is so infective and optomistic that it just raises the whole song...makes you want to do the Zamba or walk with elephants!!😊

Puzzling Behavior(sharp notes, be careful of your ears)

So the headwaters of this song are in an empty dog food can with the aluminum lid inside along with greasy kind of nasty stinky remains of dog food in it..And as i was contemplating how to get it clean, i began to shake it and to my surprize and delight it gave off a heavenly janggel ...After running it through a mic and a filter within a filter and a dishwasher, this tune was born.. So if you are listening to this song, you will hear that angelic Rackett thru-out..And fyi,    i have decided to keep the can and lid..

captured in the eddy of the river bright, the still life painted with the colors of the soul, the dead-eyed and the damaged wander through the landscape of the misty light without compassion for our plight.

even in the darkest night there's drops of paint, notes from my guitar, and tiny light that usher in such lush delights, though worthless in the merchants eye, the maestro has the wings to fly..

it's a big mess, got a hole in my chest, taken down and crushed like apples in a press, i confess to everything i've ever done. every single one of us..on the run.

when minds are quiet, the stink of revolution floats in the air, and the overlords they waste away in deep despair.. slippin in the deep end not so quietly.

tin can rattle in the back, living in a tiny shack, standing in the middle of a two lane blacktop gazing at a cloud i saw some thirty years ago.

The ancient firs are waving arms audaciously against the wind.
while clouds they swirl and march across the sky.and catch the wings of crows that dare fly.
The Leaves en mass, abandon limbs and soar before they settle in the Muck.

Have you ever noticed that seemingly Mundane and apparently unimportant moments when bathed in the golden light of Hindsight becomes the magical dialogue of this life..

The note and chord progression is from a song written by David Williams who is a friend of mine, and an amazing musician who has been an inspiration to me for many years... the lyrics and the arraignment are mine..

The butterflys speak fluent french, the trees have knees, i think they walk around at night. A chipmunk in a three piece suit brought me a drink of something green,  clogging lightly in the grass with little tiny tennis shoes with taps.
