What an excellent (and brave) idea, Viv. I’ve always loved players who use the Bass guitar as a lead instrument, so this gets a big thumbs up from me.

Kudos for this idea.  I have some similar ideas floating around--I mean the "Fools Rush In" types.  To me most of the fun of music is experimenting.

I was thrilled when Andy and Gaz invited me along on this collaboration.  The Lyrics are beautifully written and sung by Gaz and lends itself to great story telling. It was lovely to join him and to bring my creative spirit in harmonisation to the table. I was listening to this piece recently and thought that It may translate to electric bass. This is my interpretation played on my Peavey bass.

Just discovered that a search on youtube turns up loads of electric bass players performing this piece! There is nothing new in this world. Most are playing it an octave higher though, which seems a cop out : )

Synesthesia is main motif for this song, first because of original lyrics, then as I felt like adding it more flavor with female vocals*, & finally when I recently watched some paintings about this matter**.
