Blackbird Prophet were formed in the summer of 2011, operating initially as a three-men studio project, due to lack of a complete line-up. The project finally turned into a band in the spring of 2012.
In February 2012, the first demo entitled “Symbolic Introduction” was finished. The demo was recorded between October 2011 and February 2012 in Bruno Costa’s home studio. The full demo was, however, never fully released, with only some of the material ending up online. 

In the autumn of 2012, finally with a stable line-up, Blackbird Prophet started performing live shows around the area of Porto (Portugal), both as an opening act and has headliner.
Between July and August 2013, the band entered Estudios Entreparedes to record their debut E.P/mini-album.
"Aetherea" will be released both physically and digitally on the 11th January 2014!
