I wanted this to be the first track from Drive I shared with you all not because it's the biggest or the best, but because it's probably my personal favourite.

The album was basically inspired by a road trip I took with my wife from New York to Los Angeles last year, taking in Route 66 and numerous ghost towns, deserts, mountain passes, dirt roads etc, and I came up with the melody for this one towards the end, somewhere in the Mojave Wilderness as we finally made it into California, the setting sun of the West in the distance. A long way from home, and still fairly far from our final destination, but the end was in sight. And that's the moment the track basically came to describe. It isn't really a club banger, or a club track. It's just something I felt like writing.

Anyway - enough deep shit. Still feels slightly surreal to be sharing this body of work after waiting so long. More soon.

Dutchman Ferry Corsten reveals another pearl taken from his most recent and successful studio album WKND. His new single Not Coming Down, featuring the breath-taking vocals by the lovely Betsie Larkin from New York, has been hailed on online forums as an immaculate, annihilating ballad and that’s exactly what it is.

Betsie Larkin is no stranger when it comes to delivering powerful vocals for artists in the trance genre, as she already had the pleasure to collaborate with a.o. John O’Callaghan, Super8 & Tab, Sied van Riel, Lange, ATB and Bobina.

The mighty Dash Berlin was commissioned for a remix, gave the original version a tougher edge and complimented his remix with enormous peak time drops. Ferry even throws in an acoustic version of Not Coming Down, turning the epic uptempo original into an atmospheric "unplugged" musical pearl.

Elise. The closing track of my new album.

It’s named after my youngest daughter (Sansa is my oldest fyi) and the reason it’s taken me nearly 3 years is simple because I was waiting for a track beautiful enough.

I think the tracks I’ve ended albums with have been pretty decent. And Elise continues in that tradition.
