Alice falling down the rabbit hole is used here as a metaphor for Alice becoming blind, in the dark she must create her own world to the music she hears and creates an A-tonal direct responce to this feeling. In the darkness the shifting senses heighten both each other and individually so that the viewers semi state of blindness in the room is an insight into Alice's world, both her reality and her imagined reality.
