LOVE IS WHAT THE WORLD IS WAITING FOR

My father Garnet Boyd wrote this song in the early 1950s after seeing a little boy looking at toys in a shop window at Christmastime. He played the song for some of Don Messer's band in I believe December 1955 and this was recorded by them with Marg Osborne singing the vocals. Don gave my father the tape afterwards. The song later was sung by Marg on the Don Messer Show.  The song is SODRAC number 1043774.

Garnet Boyd composed and wrote the lyrics for "Open the Book", which was performed by Charlie Chamberlain on the Don Messer Show.  I found this recording on a cassette tape. My mother Diana Boyd is introducing the song; you can hear her at the beginning of the tape. I do not know the year this was recorded. The song is SODRAC 1043773.
