A song about a friends narcissistic GF who only took and never gave from the perspective of him being fed up and having enough....and a chance to stretch my drum programming skills,(let's face it.) I recorded everything myself on a 2007 iMac in OS 10.6.8 using Logic, EZDrummer, my white '92 AM dlx fat strat and an AKG CS100CS. 

Burnin" Love

Here's a song I wrote with Bassist extroidinaire Jeff Couture and recording with my old band darwindance with Mike Harrison on drums, Ray Muldaur on vocals and Jeff Couture on lead bass. We wrote the song lyrics in one in a beer sitting at Mikes old house, then went in his garage and recorded it that night, then I overdubbed the lead guitar. 
It's about selling out for the fame and fortune. I had that riff in my head for months and it was good to get it out. We all worked out the turn around pre chorus together and finished it that night. Nice and tidy.

This is a fusion idea I had, then tracked it one night. The bass is pretty rough because I am not a bass player. I wanted to record this just to get the idea before another song idea steamrolled it and it was forgotten.  The drums I programmed in XLN Addictive. The bass solo is pathetic, but I hope to find musicians who want and able to play this live with me or re-record it with the real drum solos that should be in the middle part. Everything was direct. It is supposed to be a blend of Funk and Fusion = Funksion.

Funksion 1

This was a song Ray Muldaur and I wrote and brought in to play with darwindance and recorded and Rhythmmik Studios in the valley. Jeffy came in from Vegas to reunite the darwindance foursome and we riffed the ending. Rock on.
