Established in 2023, The Breakroom is a dynamic six piece band that ignites stages with their eclectic blend of neo-psychedelic trip-hop jazz, dub, funk, and live remixes. The group is comprised of musicians Doug Miles on guitar, Turo DiPietro on bass, Mike Lynch on drums, Joe Kenney on keyboards, Andrew Schenker on percussion and MojoRisiN on turntables. With a repertoire that spans genres and eras, The Breakroom captivates audiences with their unique live performances, seamlessly transitioning from laid-back neo-soul grooves to funky dub rhythms and infectious hip-hop beats. The band often incorporates improvisation and a penchant for live remixing into their act, which ensures that no two performances are ever the same. Over the years we have seen many transformations, alter egos, and different aliases from this dude, all of which have been so fitting for the time and place in the universe we found ourselves in. 

Motel Surgeon is a long time friend of ours, and we are truly honored to finally have an opportunity to share one of his creations, which happens to be in our opinion his best work yet ! 

Motel Surgeon aka Theodore Graham aka DJ Touchin Stuff is exactly that. A multifaceted and absolute cookie of a man, who's always touchin stuff, and as far as Motel Surgeon goes… it describes his studio.  DIY from an old garbage company. It sports a run down motel vibe where music undergoes grotesque surgery, sometimes beautiful, sometimes an abomination. Motel stays disrespecting genres in the most interesting ways audible.  Hailing from NJ, he got his start in Philly before touring the East Coast and moving out to Colorado.  Now back in NJ, he is the owner of the Wub Wagon, a mobile DJ stage that a plethora of other DJs have had the pleasure of playing on and signing. Keep your eyes peeled because currently, Motel Surgeon is on the lam, coming to a city near you, and searching for his next victims to rearrange 👀

Tonevizion is an experimental-bass, psy-bass, trip-hop, and glitch-hop musician from Indianapolis, Indiana represented by the Conscious Electronic independent music label. Growing in scope and depth with each new release, music by Tonevizion builds crowds, interest and emotion for recordings, performances and playlist spots which never fail to excite audiences.

 

Asked to describe his songs personally, Tonevizion describes having founded his own subcategory of EDM he calls “space hop.”

“Space bass is a blend of vibey and spacey melodies, experimental bass lines, and deep subs,” says Tonevizion. “My music tells a story with each track. I craft my DJ sets to do the same, taking the listeners on a sonic journey through space and time.”

 

Tonevizion’s repertoire includes such drops as “The Calling,” released August 2020 from Conscious Electronic. “The Calling” by Tonevizion continues to garner widespread critical and fan acclaim. Tonevizion’s tone, style and thematic ambience on “The Calling” have made it a resounding success with a variety of audiences.

 

Talking about the overall themes of his music, Tonevizion writes, “The Tonevizion project was started with the concept to tell stories with sound, to take listeners on a multi-dimensional sonic journey.”

 

In case this trip seems unlikely, it helps to note that Tonevizion calls his songs “psychedelically influenced.” He also describes music in almost medicinal terms.

“I enjoy making and listening to music,” he says. “It regulates me, regardless of the day I am having or the mood I feel. Music has always guided me. I make music as a form of self expression, to share my experiences with other humans, and to share that feeling which music has always given me.”

No newcomer to the stage, Tonevizion has performed live all over the state of Indiana, out west in Denver, as far south as Nashville, and as far north as Shepard, MI. He has dropped three official, label releases to date, and has shared the stage with such popular artists as Mr. Bill, iLL Gates, Phutureprimitive, ZEE, Psymbionic, as well as other nationally touring musicians.
