We have another excellent episode of Bside Incoming for you!

Made in London by two good friends and flat mates bouncing off each other's Bside selections. Digging through the very finest of the flip side we have Jake and Benjamin, AKA 1-800 Girls and Par Avion.

With a background in New Wave bands and a renown for high octane DJ sets, 1-800 Girls' productions usually sit somewhere between the two. The nostalgic warmth of hardware productions and the hard hitting energy that often defines his dance floor selections.

Par Avion is a selector who runs a collective and imprint by the same name, as well as the Mutual Trust events with Salary Boy. With a passion for intelligent dance music, a keen ear for great audio, and an impressive music collection: The two combine for a Bside Back2Back that has all the intimacy of a listening session with fellow music lovers.

Expect everything from deep and soothing electronica through to vibrant house and disco edit, soul, funk, acid, afro, breakbeats and everything in between.

Completing their bold trilogy of EPs, S0MBRA lets loose the “Follow The River” EP through Unbeyond Anthologies.

More lush and hopeful than before, “Follow The River” evokes nature and growth in ways as of yet seen in the neo-noir maestro’s discography to this point. It also sees S0MBRA taking on even more genres, such as house and drum & bass.

Opener “River Theme”, one of two collaborations with LARA, blooms over its runtime with majestic acoustic flourishes, a hallmark of S0MBRA’s sound given a gorgeous new direction. “Puddles” delivers more of what fans have come to expect from the artist in a new lounge-driven package, driven by a brilliant leading flute and underpinnings of electric piano. “Bargain Busting” marks the most frenetic and fresh track of the project, a wild flurry of breaks and funky bass that crescendos in manic drill & bass style.

“You Lost Me” is another lounging cut and the most low-key in this package, seeping into your bones with a gripping synth melody carrying the song forward. The EP ends on the second LARA collab, “Half Full”, an optimistic closer to this trilogy of projects that features some of the most emotionally gripping sections of any S0MBRA release.

After a fiery streak of masterclass bass music, S0MBRA closes the book on what was started in “The Darkened Path Ahead” on their highest note yet, a sign of even more incredible music to come.

“I wanted to sum up what I'm about musically with this mix, while still keeping it pretty slow and somewhere between club and living room listening. I tried not to overthink it and keep it fairly off the cuff, so it's pretty eclectic all round, with assorted bits of industrial, electro, breaks, weird dubby stuff and more. Hope you enjoy it!
