Concrete Spirit are a three piece band from the picturesque South Wales valleys. We use a range of electronic and real instruments to create and produce original songs, often with deep and emotional lyrics.

Steve Bear is the musical genius in residence.... He has the incredibly annoying ability of being able to play pretty much any instrument that you put in front of him. If he can't already play it, give him a few minutes and he'll figure out how to.
​And he will also do it sickeningly well.  
While musically Country is his first love, this six foot six, grizzly old hillbilly, can and will turn his hand to any style of music.

Kie is responsible for the vocals and lyrics. She has a penchant for lizards (and owns a Bearded Dragon called Jaffa who spends most of his time running around the studio, generally getting in the way and into as many photos as possible). 
Kie likes anything creative, and particularly enjoys sculpture and pyrography, She REALLY likes to sing.
She also makes great coffee and even better cakes.

Computer programmer by day and innovative sound technician (or ‘sound fiddler’)by night... James is in his element mixing tracks together that no one else particularly thought would work. Smug should probably be his middle name....
He has an ever growing collection of musical paraphernalia which seems to have a direct correlation with his ever dwindling bank account...
Oh, and he plays bass guitar too.

“Lozk is the moniker for Leonardo Suárez Jiménez who is also a well known and talented multimedia artist. His mastery of mixing, mastering, and producing are integral parts to what make his music stand out, however it is unique techniques of sound discovery that make his sound so distinct.

The use of samples is an intrinsic element of Lozk's compositions. Not only does he record his own samples, but he harvests them from the organic and inorganic world that surrounds him. He takes sounds from quotidian objects and daily interactions, the noises of the bustling street,  animals, and various musical instruments. With purpose and intention, he processes each sound creating elaborate textures and tones that are an actual reflection of the country in which he is immersed. It is this method that has established his particular style.

Lozk's first album Irrational quickly garnered attention winning him the John Leckie Award in London for Innovation in Music Production in 2012. His newest album is titled Meaningless Words. As the album's nakesake suggests, the lyrics have no meaning but instead are a series of random syllables, inflections, and utterances. The concept behind Meaningless Words is that lyrics do not always have to be the focus of inspiration. Lozk is showing that the power of sound in itself is a language that speaks just as loudly and profoundly as words.”
