You'll need tissues for this one. As I mentioned earlier, Kat Hood Glisich​ performed at Advent Cafe in Conway, AR on July 7, 2000. Seven days prior Kat's son, Adam Lefler, died in a car accident. Kat shared that a church youth group came upon the accident. The youth pastor was an EMT and tried to administer assistance while youth on the bus prayed for Adam. The song you are about to hear is "Adam's Song," a song written by Kat Hood Glisich with assistance from Buddy Case​. The song is about Adam, Kat's son, when he suffered from depression three years earlier over a bad relationship. Please listen to the entire song including the ovation and commentary at the end.

I managed Advent Arts & Acoustics Cafe (Advent Cafe) Coffeehouse series in Conway, AR for about 17 years (from 1997-2014). I also managed a UCA Unplugged series at the University of Central Arkansas around this same time, and co-managed the Arkansas Acoustic Festival. Most performers were folk, singer/songwriters from central Arkansas. We recorded each performance. I am posting Advent Cafe, UCA Unplugged, and Arkansas Acoustic Festival performances on my SoundCloud account for your enjoyment. Most of these songs are originals written by Central Arkansas Musicians.
