A Chance To Dance returns with the first edition of February. We have been enjoying so much variety across the many shades of new deep house releases this month.

Starting soulfully, we enjoy some vocal goodness from Smthing smtime on the fantastic new Razor-N-Tape VA which accompanies other great records from 
Wajeed, KVRBVO & Black Chynese. Hitting with a more punchier & dubbier sound comes new ones from Melboure Drum Authority & Fouk.

Mallorca based ESUOH don't release that often, but when they do its always top notch. Hurlees Keep It Real EP displays that classic house sound the label is renowned for and we are here for it! Also included are double whammys from Demuja, a piano stabber from Saison and a little classic from John Billick.

Tune of the session for us though is handed to the new Ben Hauke release on Last Year At Marienbad with the EPs new teaser 'Watch Me Now'.

Joining us this week is a very good friend of ours. He's the first guest to appear across both of our radio shows having been on That Disco Groove back in 2021. Since then, T Sounds has refined his music into a wonderful blend of rolling and deep hypnotic grooves. He has poured the passion from his life experiences into a number of beautiful releases over the past few years. They have earned huge support, take Berry Picker for example, which is now on its approach to 200k listens having been premiered by house heavyweight Houseum. Over the past year he has released on TheBasement Discos, Rewind & Miura with chart support from Reece Johnson, Alex Moiss, Simplex Motive & Doorly. His guest mix is a great interpretation of deep house through his eyes, and with 23 (yes 23!) tracks in one hour, including some of his own productions, it creates plenty of ear raising moments! Following the intergalactic odyssey of their first release, Hi Quality Records are back for round two. Switching to hyperdrive for another blast round the sun with two feel-good, cosmic channelling, disco burners from the mighty More Amour aka Artwork and Jon Solo.
 
Cruising out across the cosmos ‘Solar Flair’ is a sublime slice of boogie brilliance, with an infectious bassline and keys to match. Turning the heat up to 10 with Jon Solo on the solos, spiritually working those keys as Artwork conjures up his magic at the production controls. If you could drop the top on this spaceship and roll those windows down, this is definitely the groovin’, head bobber you’d have soundtracking your beam across the interplanetary highways.
 
With that non-existent breeze flowing over your spacesuit, ‘Heatwave’ ramps up proceedings on the B side. We've now been at this since 2010 and over the years we've really tried to deliver the kind of house music (and beyond) that we would play, listen and dance to ourselves.   We really tried to avoid the dangerous traps of following trends which in the long run can water down labels to just a music portal instead of a music brand with character. Basically, we aim to deliver our own musical personality via artists and producers that we love and respect. To sum things up, we are proud to present our second label compilation, Local Talk - 13 Years Later.
 
In part two of our 13 Years Later compilation we reached out to both regular in-house producers as well as some brand new friends on the house scene.   As always, we try and aim for a wide spectrum of styles and you'll hear everything from classic house, deep house, soulful house, dub and hip hop from some of our fave producers like Wipe The Needle, James L'Estraunge Orchestra, Damon Frost.

We also included producers like Glenn Davis, Rico Herrera, Aurelius and Caserta which we believe is doing exciting music and should be heard by many more.   

We sincerely hope you will enjoy this selection of dance MUSIC as much as we do and that there's something for everyone on our compilation.

When two house music veterans join forces on Viva Recordings for some music action, you know you've got something special. And that's certainly the case with "You Got Something," the first of a two-part single from San Francisco keyboard and studio legend Sen-Sei (Delve Deeper, Nervous) and renowned DJ-turned-producer HUGEhands (AKA James Druett — i Records, Sound Vessel). The pair have come together for a slinky, late-night deep house charmer full of left-coast vibes, dubby flavors, and solid musicianship. A punchy rhythm-and-bass track leads the dancefloor on a journey through affecting vocal hooks, echoed sax riffs, and intricately layered keyboard sections. Col Lawton (Deep Fix Recordings) slips into the collab with a spacious remix of "You Got Something," blending dreamy effects and flourishes with the original's melodic craft. The result is a tad jazzier while gliding further into the deep side, eventually sprinkled with a floor-lifting acid bass line. Both sides of this single are sure to become DJ staples, soon to be accompanied by the release of Part 2.
