Throughout his relatively short career in solo (His contribution to house duet Twice Movement started in 2015) , Groovence’s Head Moonee (real name François Lefevre) has delivered some top shelf contributions over the last years, appearances like his debut track on Groovence last year « Faith & Sorrow » and an official remix for Sweely’s banger « Gotta Keep On » in 2020.

This debut EP was composed at home between 2019 and 2020, as time was flying during the first covid lockdown.
With most daily constraints gone, Moonee had time to plug in his MPCs and finish this batch of tracks. Blending contemporary and classic deep house, the EP draws inspiration from artists such as Mr.G, Dj Q, Linkwood or Theo Parrish.

*« Wabi-sabi » is a Japanese ancient aesthetic and spiritual concept that celebrates the imperfection of things. Focused on the notion of beauty and the passage of time credits.

@systemsol est un collectif féminin de DJ né en 2022 à Montpellier.

MIMOON, FILOSOFIA et venus en retrograde se sont rencontrées dans les locaux de la Pinata Radio avant de rapidement co-fonder leur collectif. A elles trois, elles créent une fusion surprenante de styles distincts et pourtant complémentaires. Avec une énergie guidée par le groove, System Sol se nourrit d’influences traversant les styles et les époques : disco, house, ukg, et bien plus encore. 
Une palette musicale multicolore qui témoigne de
leur volonté à faire résonner dans chacun.es des émotions multiples et de connecter des publics hétéroclites.

Portées à leur débuts sur la scène locale Montpelliéraine par des
organisations telles que Pinata Radio et Baston Créative, System Sol rayonne aujourd’hui sur la scène nationale. Que se soit sur les ondes des radios, en festival ou pour un all night long frénétique, le collectif diffuse son énergie contagieuse à chaque apparition.

Neapolitan composer, producer, and keyboardist Giorgio Lopez sets sail on Berlin-based label Cosmic Romance with his “Sud des Îles”. Navigating between 80s-inspired grooves, French boogie, and sun-kissed atmospheres, the record unfolds like a musical travelogue, following fictional skipper Georges Taty and his crew of musicians aboard the sailboat “Sud des Îles”, caught between racing waves, late-night jams, and dockside dreams.

From the whirling groove of "Voyager Sans Bouger" to the breezy atmosphere of "Toujours Distante", the eight tracks on Sud des Îles invite listeners to drift away in rhythm and reverie through a songwriting that is both infectious and evocative. Stories of escapes (real or imagined), romantic illusions, and nostalgia-tinted euphoria weave together, propelled by Giorgio Lopez’s arrangements and distinctive keyboard work, as well as by the well-crafted production, carried out together with Executive Producer and label owner Ed Longo.

Scruniversal's sub label Tunes Delivery invites Moscow scene veteran Leonid Lipelis to don his Beard In Dust moniker for their third instalment, one which dips into various different eras of dance history for inspiration. There's a distinctly late 80s feel to opening tune 'Music of the U', complete with sampled bell stabs and the kind of beats that wouldn't be out of place on an S'Express or early Coldcut house affair. 'The Armenian Break' and 'City of Love' look back even further, back to the female-fronted disco efforts of the 70s, the latter adding a touch of Balearic flourishes. 'Abstractish P' circles around some serene arpeggios, with rave whistles and, as it progresses, twisting guitar notes, lending it an individual air, while closer 'RoRyaRe' nods to ExCel-era 808 State with some nice bleepery before settling into more progressive headnodding territory and some distinctive synth play.
