Over the last decade @localtalk has become one of the most influential house labels on the scene. With an enviable discography they have consistently kept to their core message of releasing only inspirational and magical house music whilst keeping their visual message crystal clear and concise. It's a label which is very much all about the music.

With an army of followers all around the globe today Local Talk is tracking back to track which started it all for them Bassfort's Moon Shadow which they are revisiting as part of their 10th Anniversary celebrations.

After months of deliberation as to who could do this musical treasure justice Local Talk enlisted the help of old friend Joe Claussell who has delivered an utterly sumptuous and spellbinding slice of house music. At 11+ minutes long, it still feels like it's over in the blink of an eye, it's that good. This is a track with transcends musical boundaries, a moment of complete musical perfection.

The EP also features a remix by Kyodai (who were 2/3 of Bassfort) and it's equally brilliant.

Following on from the excellent Keep on Swindling Vol 1 EP from which we premiered their summer smash 'All I Want' a couple of months back @damswindle are now back with part 2 of their 10th Anniversary series via @heistrecordings. Spanish DJ, producer and Night Shift records boss Javi Frias presents a new EP of disco edits that take the vibes of the 70s and re-fit them for the current dancefloor. As you might imagine, each of the four tracks seemingly has PARTY stamped across it in giant capital lettering, from the opening stomper 'Hot Damn!' with its bright-as-a-button brass section and the wah wah guitar of 'Dance To The Music' to the proto-house of 'The Spirit'. But the best is saved to last - the bendy funk bassline gymnastics of 'Feel Good', quite irresistible.

A Chance To Dance returns with the first edition of February. We have been enjoying so much variety across the many shades of new deep house releases this month.

Starting soulfully, we enjoy some vocal goodness from Smthing smtime on the fantastic new Razor-N-Tape VA which accompanies other great records from 
Wajeed, KVRBVO & Black Chynese. Hitting with a more punchier & dubbier sound comes new ones from Melboure Drum Authority & Fouk.

Mallorca based ESUOH don't release that often, but when they do its always top notch. Hurlees Keep It Real EP displays that classic house sound the label is renowned for and we are here for it! Also included are double whammys from Demuja, a piano stabber from Saison and a little classic from John Billick.

Tune of the session for us though is handed to the new Ben Hauke release on Last Year At Marienbad with the EPs new teaser 'Watch Me Now'.

Joining us this week is a very good friend of ours. He's the first guest to appear across both of our radio shows having been on That Disco Groove back in 2021. Since then, T Sounds has refined his music into a wonderful blend of rolling and deep hypnotic grooves. He has poured the passion from his life experiences into a number of beautiful releases over the past few years. They have earned huge support, take Berry Picker for example, which is now on its approach to 200k listens having been premiered by house heavyweight Houseum. Over the past year he has released on TheBasement Discos, Rewind & Miura with chart support from Reece Johnson, Alex Moiss, Simplex Motive & Doorly. His guest mix is a great interpretation of deep house through his eyes, and with 23 (yes 23!) tracks in one hour, including some of his own productions, it creates plenty of ear raising moments! Phonk D is always up for musical collaborations and over time some have accumulated on the hard drive. It’s a logical conclusion to make a collection out of it and here we present the first part.

On “Connie” @phonk-d joins forces with @lukaslehmann who is a familiar face on Footjob already. 
A percussive sample stomper with subtle vocal chops for groovy dance nights, perfect to switch from warmup to peaktime.

“Tribute To Miami” is a collaboration with Frankfurt's @rubrique, who has also made an appearance on Footjob with his Flying Circus collabo EP already. Old synths were dusted to create a typical 90s oldschool house vibe. During their session they noticed that it sounds strongly like Murk so they added atmospheric vocals to pay even more tribute to the classic Miami label.

The third track “On The Edge” presents a driving house bumper which features Darmstadt's finest bass player @gr-goire-pign-de from the highly talented jazz formation Triorität. Deep organ chords and atmospheric synths meet a floating bassline – what else do you need?

Now Djing at Electrik Disko every fortnight, and throughout the summer we are in the outside courtyard area in The Commercial Bar Wrexham. Nice sound system and great location ..puurfect.
