@saintwaxrecords recently opened their account with a super EP from label boss Gledd who is one of the hugely talented pool of Mexican producers ruling the Disco airwaves right now. Turning things up again the label's next EP 'Aguardiente Y Mezcal' is incoming and features two tracks each from 'the-funk-district and @vagabundoclubsocial, two acts we have loads of time for on LV online. On the A-side is ‘Hey Boy’ by Italian producer/DJ Giuseppe Fimiani aka BPlan, a dirty lowdown that perfectly completes the vibe of the A-side. BPlan’s skills in bringing a unique take to a familiar riff is nothing short of genius. The perfectly pitched bass, filtered chord progression and mid-tempo beat lead us on a journey drenched in summer juices which, when combined with the vocal samples force you to stay in the moment and stop runnin’ with those Joneses. On the B Side, we start with label co-owner and master of the groove, De Gama and his carefully crafted ‘Higher’. The tempo is dropped right down here, with De Gama showing his darker and funkier side. Toy Tonics discovered Kosmo Kint 3 years ago when looking for a singer to work with. Kosmo is a Soul vocalist raised in New York. He lives in Berlin since a few years, after studying Opera singing in Vienna, and was looking for the right crew to hook up in Berlin. Toy Tonics was perfect. Now, After 4 collaborations on songs of different Toy Tonics artists (Kapote, Rhode & Brown, Mangabey, Sam Ruffilo) Kosmo is ready for an solo album.
