Le Hutin’s new album “Love Is The Answer” is just around the corner, set for release on Thursday, June 12th. It follows the series of Le Hutin's LP releases: “The Sexophonist” LP (2021), “DIVE” LP (2022), and “Expectation?!” Album (2023).

Made up of 26 tracks, the album showcases at best the wide range of Le Hutin's multiple influences. Not willing to be glued to a purely House Music release, he keeps House — his favorite genre — as the absolute core of the project, around which everything revolves, keeping the sonic exploration alive. As the album unfolds, you will come across 90s, Garage, UK House, Jazz, Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Punk Rock, Disco, Latin, and Moroccan influences.

Le Hutin's music is a mirror of his emotions, life experiences, travels, and personal situations. Late 2023 marked a tough restart after leaving his first project — the “De La Groove” label and collective he founded and carried out since 2016 — hence the album’s name. He is now standing tall and thriving, bringing music that is true to his soul, real for listeners, and more intimate than ever, with the presence of deeper and more unusual tracks such as an Introduction, Interludes, and an Outro. This is enhanced by the fact that he is recording, post-producing, and creating 99% of his music himself, while also using his own vocals more regularly.

“I am so glad to finally be able to present you my second very long format Album. It takes time to build a full record that you feel can look and sound as you are, free of compromises on the music and with the art. Love Is The Answer is not only a moto that can be applied to almost any context and situation, it also portrays at best my intentions about music and life.
I have been heavily inspired by St Germain’s work, Masters At Work impressive mix of electronic and organic elements, Armand Van Helden’s energy, Junior Jack and Fatboy Slim’s craziness, but also some various music that had a strong imprint on me; from my more regular listening (such as Linkin Park, Mac Miller, George Benson, Sade, Sly & The Family, Eminem, Kanye early music, Supertramp, Dire Straits, Nils Frahm, Enya, Gregory Porter, Nina Simone, Vulfpeck among many). No EP or track could really cover all I wanted to share in there, experimenting and distilling as music, hence the 26 tracks. I am also happy to let you know you will be listening to almost purely new and composed material, a big collection of my own recording delivered straight from my heart to you.

Originally released under his former producer name MUNK. It sounds fresher now than back then, when it was too much ahead of its time.

This track works on any dance floor. It brings this special new school Italo vibe to every party. Made by Kapote back then when he was producing indie dance.
In case you don't know: Kapote used to produce music under the name MUNK and run an indie dance label called GOMMA. Back in the late 2000s he was producing music with LCD Soundsystem, Peaches, WhoMadeWho, The Rammellzee and others.  Now, Toy Tonics re-releases the song in a new version. Including remixes by Musumeci, Romain FX, Azari & III and Audiojack.

Find a better bassline this year and I'll eat my hat. Lyon's @mike-parton-officieux comes up trumps on this track from his and his brother Danny's 'Extraball' EP on @pommefriterec with a sublime recreation of late '90s French touch filter disco, serving up an insanely funky bassline along with a jaunty, filtered horn sample and a chewy phaser sound that's one of the best Daft Punk imitations I've ever heard. Tremendous.

Pete Blaker has been making head-turning (or rather head-nodding) moves of late and he continues his run of form on the excellently named Funkyjaws Music label. This fourth instalment in the Discolifting series kicks off with 'Zulu', a nice fat-bottomed and dubby Afro disco sound with a super sweet vocal and some funky guitar riffs. 'Instrumental' then steps out with more widescreen synths and snappy low ends with more than a hint of 'Bakerman' groove goodness. 'See The Light' is lavish and bright disco with 80s synths and 'Heaven' closes with a more subdued and introspective sound.
