February 10th 2023 is the release date of the new EP by Tamati and Paul Bart, called ‘Boogie Me’. The promising duo who are definitely starting their adventure with the right attitude, enters the Apparel Family with a brilliant debut record, which represents the thirty-third release of the now consolidated APDEXTRA. The three tracks featured in ‘Boogie Me’ are three portraits of the artist’s musical talent and bring with them a fresh energy that only a new musical project can have. The first, and title track, is a rhythmic explosion with hints of Acid while the second and third are personal versions of the two artists of the track ‘Still Life’, which the pair personally decline in their own way. The structure of the EP is designed to give the listener all the tools to understand the musical characteristics of the two producer but, even without knowing the title of the tracks or having information on the tracklist, the record is highly enjoyable. The result is a danceable, fresh and carefree EP, perfect for starting the new year on the front foot.

Dan Shake, Kaidi Tatham, Jamie 3:26 on Toy Tonics! Yes. Toy Tonics lead artist Cody Currie released his debut album on the Berlin label last year and now here come the remixes! Pure dancefloor joy is guaranteed with this release. The names speak for themselves. And they really made effective DJ weapons out of Cody's very organic sounding, warm, soul-driven jazzy house songs. 

Cody by now doesn't need a big introduction anymore. On his previous releases, including last year's fine 'Cafe Society' EP on Ukrainian imprint Arteform, @thierrytomas has showcased a sound that cannily combines elements of both deep house and tech-house. On 'Tomat', his first full EP for Moscow-based Minor Notes Recordings, Thomas ditches the tech-house influences in favour of a delicious deep, dusty and warming take on deep house. It's a good move, because opener 'August' is simply sublime, with sampled jazz horns, twinkling piano motifs and luscious chords rising above a shuffling jazz-house rhythm and a lovely bassline. The Russian producer then switches to bumpin', loop-based disco-house thrills ('Signor Promidor') and loose-limbed, funk-sampling, shoulder-swinging brilliance ('Shaking'), before rounding things off via the spy chase-friendly jazz-house bump of 'Double Bass'.
