PREMIERE: Raw Slavs - Dreary Enuresis [Scruniversal Records]

Funkyjaws Music is back with more music to make your jaw go funky, this time in the form of a second volume of its Let's Dance series. It features a quartet of esteemed tune makers starting with Frank Booker's 'Yes No Maybe' which is a horn laced and loose-limbed delight, while go-slow master Eddie C brings his classy touch to the funky licks of 'Love Dancing Theme.' There are plenty of cosmic synth waves to Black Truffle's 'Dancing Through The Night' while the LTJ Xperience close down with a super laid back and summery vibe on 'Sunny Groove.'

We are delighted to share another Premiere from our friend Igor Gonya's label Lisztomnia Records, this time courtesy of Parisian producers Fahy & Sanchez. 

The full Contre Pied EP bangs. Our offering is the remix of the title track from one of the busiest producers in the game - Scruscru.
 
He takes the core elements of the boys work and turns it into a disco house delight. It's excellent to hear Kathy Brown's infectious vocals sampled in such a positive way with a production that do them justice. (We wish Kathy all the best with her current battle with stage 4 cancer)

This is the third installment in the Local Sugar Diggers Series from Scruniversal in which old and rare records from the label head's friend's collections get reworked and edited. This one is a collab between ScruScru and an equally passionate digger from Cyprus known as Dwaal. Both tunes offer quite different looks but with great results. The first is the steamy and loose-limbed 'Destination? Funk!' with its squelchy bass and neat guitar riffs, while the flipside is a super deep and lush downtempo jam, 'Camelot Chill'. This one has romantic sax notes and gentle grooves with jazzy keys finishing it in style.

Now Djing at Electrik Disko every fortnight, and throughout the summer we are in the outside courtyard area in The Commercial Bar Wrexham. Nice sound system and great location ..puurfect.
