Remotejazz is the music of Robert L. Bryant . A keyboard player, composer and producer based in Frederick, Maryland. Bob's interest in music has led him to the contemporary jazz genre where his biggest influences have been: Paul Hardcastle, The Jazzmasters, Rick Braun, Richard Elliott, Peter White, Chris Botti and Soul Ballet.

Jazz is Bob's forte, but he also is influenced by electronic music, world music, and dance. Bob is motivated by various artists like:

ATB, Taucher, Tangerine Dream, The Pet Shop Boys, Secret Garden, David Arkenstone, Mark Isham, Everything But The Girl, St. Germain, Chicane, Amethystium, and Liquid Mind.

Since Bob's debut CD entitled "Remotejazz", was released in September of 2010, he has worked hard on creating a unique style of blending jazz and electronic sounds. Others have compared his music to great artists like 9 Lazy 9, Amon Tobin, Boney James, Rick Braun, Funki Porcini, Mr. Scruff and the incomparable Paul Hardcastle.

Bob is currently in the studio working on his second release entitled "Through The Eye of the Storm". Expect big things from Remotejazz.

Andreas Svarc – Pianist & Composer with an International Spirit

Born and raised in Prague (CZ), Andreas Svarc now lives in the Swiss cantons of Bern, Lucerne, and Aargau. He teaches piano at local music schools and offers private lessons — his genuine passion for music inspires students and fuels his work as a pianist and composer.

With the release of his single “Chill Out” and other standout compositions broadcast by radio stations around the world, Andreas quickly gained recognition. As the frontman of the band Destinations and a collaborator with international artists, he blends classical, jazz, and folk influences into a distinctive musical language.

Leslie Page, a singer/songwriter, vocal coach and vocal producer based in sunny Southern California, possesses an extraordinary vocal prowess shaped by her diverse life experiences. Blessed with a gorgeous, translucent voice, excellent pitch, and supple sense of time, Gazarek is steeped in the jazz tradition, but is not afraid to embrace the music that moves her generation. Her newest CD, Blossom & Bee (2012, Palmetto) was released to rave reviews, as Nick Mondello of Jazz Times has noted "Blossom & Bee' has all the beauty, bite and superb workings of a winner. It’s as good – or better – than some recent Grammy®-nominated or winning female vocalist efforts." When not criss-crossing the globe with her band, Sara is embracing the future of jazz vocals as a faculty member at the University of Southern California, leading the award-winning vocal jazz ensemble there and teaching privately.

 
Born and raised in Southern California, Josh Nelson is a first-call jazz pianist, composer, teacher, and recording artist. At 35 years old, he has already performed and worked with some of the most respected names in music, including Natalie Cole, Queen Latifah, John Clayton, Walter Smith III, Ben Wendel, Seamus Blake and Matt Wilson. Josh has produced music for countless albums, films, and television, but also makes time for his own projects including Anticipation (2004), Let it Go (2007), and I Hear a Rhapsody (2009), all of which featured Josh’s explorations of new original music, standard interpretations, and reinventions of pop tunes. His recent record Discoveries (2011) pairs classic sci-fi film footage with new compositions for a brass and wind ensemble. He currently teaches at Cal State Northridge as part of the music faculty. 

     After years of traveling and experience playing and producing a variety of music,  Brian Wilkins still calls Pittsburgh, PA home.  A multi-instrumentalist and producer, Brian was inspired by anything that made sound from a very young age "I would try to play anything I had access to".  He started with a toy drum set when he was only 4 and by 13 was onto the guitar, "I chose the guitar because I watched a Hendrix documentary ... Eric Clapton unplugged followed that show and I was completely hooked". Those two performances ended up having a big impact on Brian and blues improvisation became of one of his specialties very early on. Much like some of his major influences, he's truly a self-taught artist, "I learned the blues scale and a few chords from family friend, Pat Gribbin and the rest I really learned by watching, listening and playing". His first formal lessons didn't come until he took beginner level guitar in his sophomore year in college at Denison University in Columbus, OH. 
Like a lot of young musicians, it was in college that Brian started playing in groups, "mostly I initially wrote and arranged the tunes for the groups, but I always wanted input from the other players".  A valuable lesson for young Brian, who would go onto write, record and produce music for other musicians. His experiences range from writing for Alvin Ailey principal dancer, April Berry and Ailey guest artist, Dewight Roden, to playing guitar live with gospel great Kirk Franklin to working with up and coming R&B singer songwriter Rashad Thomas. He's also performed music for the McClendon School of Dance in Atlanta, wrote and performed guitar parts for Adina Howard's latest tune "Nasty Grind" with Angelo Ray. 
In addition to his experiences with other artists, Brian has written, recorded and produced two albums of his own, "A Few Thoughts", released in 2002 and "Sonically Inviting" released just  a short time later in 2005. It's in his solo work that you can hear Brian's varied interests and influences, "Jimmi Hendrix,  Stevie Ray Vaughn, Al green, James Brown,  Jeff beck, Quincy Jones, Phil Collins, Bill Withers, Hall n Oats, and Seal" to name few. When asked how he draws inspiration from such different places, he replied "I like these folks because of the variety of sounds and feelings they shared with the world". It's fitting that Brian describes his musical influences in that way, as listening to his music is a dynamic and emotional experience. It truly is difficult to place his original work into any specific genre.
These days Brian is hard at work honing his studio craft, composing original work and collaborating with other artists. There's no shortage of opportunities for Brian, and his attitude reflects that, "you put your heart out there, in the form of a song or art, to be judged by the world... some people are not so forgiving, but you just do what is natural to you and be honest".
