
Lucy Marshall is a 20 year-old acoustic singer-songwriter from Hull. Her eclectic mix of covers and original material was first brought to people's attention when she started performing at only 15. Lucy has supported several well known artists such as Lucy Ward, The Long Notes, Roddy Woomble and Chantel McGregor, as well as playing at well established festivals including the Main Stage at Cornucopia, Cambridge Rock and Blues, The Great British Blues Festival and The Great British Folk festival, of which she packed out the skyline stage, late last year. 
Lucy has also gone on to release three EPs, two of which are available on iTunes. Lucy is currently back in the studio, excited to release more of her music later this year.

Musician - Singer - Song writer - percussionist - pianist

The Dark Secrets was formed by Jeff Parsons, Colin Holgate and Julia Hunn in 1989. It was a studio band which ran parallel to their live band Drum Animals; some songs were performed by both bands.
Dark Secrets recorded the album Disclosure at Colin's Mayfield Studio in Gilberdyke with the help of Col's son Gary and the support and encouragement of his other son Darren. Gary and Darren both played in Drum Animals too.
Jeff, as the main songwriter, was very keen to play guitar and bass and also (despite having at best a pretty poor voice!) to sing; as a songwriter Jeff says "you want to be able to sing your own songs". This meant playing live would be difficult as the guitar parts continued to grow!
In 2011 Jeff recorded new material under the Dark Secrets imprint in Hull with Dan Foster at the controls (also providing keyboards and angelic harmonies!) and Kelvin Baldwin on the drum stool. The first fruit of this endeavour is "Let Yourself Go" which is an old song Jeff had never recorded except for a Portastudio demo.
Three other songs were then completed and  uploaded; Serious Future, The Space Age and My Soul Is Crying Out For You are older songs which, like Let Yourseld Go, have never been definitively recorded until now! These were then released as the "Stratagems" EP.
Other tracks are demos and works in progress from the post-Disclosure period, except for Metallic Blue which is an ambient improvisation which Jeff developed to accompany an art exhibition at the East Riding College, where he used to teach on a contemporary music course.
The band has now finished recording its second full-length album, a mere twenty-three years after the first, which is available now! It's called "Band Of Brothers" and features twelve brand-new recordings from Hull's Element Studio.
