Stefan Grainger is a talented multi-genre DJ who is well known in the UK hard house scene. He has a technical mind, with skills to match, enabling him to address many different creative avenues (although these will often involve his love of Hoovers!!). Stefan holds a number of residencies, whilst also orchestrating the 'We Love Hard House' livestream events. More recently he has delved into production, with his first tune ‘Alright’, in collaboration with Bass Jumper, out soon.

For this guest mix Stefan has crafted a chunky funky hard house masterpiece, slowing the beat down but keeping the energy well and truly alive.

Melodic and upbeat with a driving energy that unfolds over time, i want u is built around lyrics and progression. The vocal sample — which reminded me of Bon Iver — became the anchor for the track, carrying its emotion from start to finish.
