The Hopheads - No Chance Saloon

This song celebrates the expressive power of slide guitar blues.  The verses focus on the physical act of playing, describing the fingers dancing across the fretboard and the smooth, slow start of the slide guitar. The inspiration for Living in a Dream comes from questioning the world around us and the nature of existence itself. It's driven by the fascination that anything exists at all and grapples with understanding the consciousness we experience, knowing we can only perceive what we're capable of knowing. The song explores the contrast between accepting that everything is real while questioning the very realm we reside in. Metaphor and fact blend throughout the lyrics, capturing the feeling of enjoying life while acknowledging we may never fully comprehend what we’re enjoying. Sonically, vibrant and slightly distorted colors inspired the production, creating contrasts between the verses and chorus to highlight this existential wonder.

They say you are either a Beatles fan or an Elvis fan … no choice for me! Have always loved this song and played it once (by accident) at a wedding as a bridal waltz and it's always meant so much to me since then.  This is for Anna ;)

Can't Help Falling In Love

With a mixture of catchy pop, rock, heart felt melodies, and tingle in your stomach pop songs, Gary comes across as a seasoned veteran. Inner city Brisbane is home. In past lives Gary was signed to US label, Zip Records, up until 2004 where a domestic suburban intoxication period ensued (for nearly 10yrs!). In further past lives Gary jumped out of airplanes as a 6ft 2inch Captain in the Australian Army. Now 5ft 7inches, Gary recollects his growing up in PNG and has begun crawling slowly and battered out from under this warm and comfortable rock. With hundreds of written songs under his belt about love, family, relationships, friendships, the world and life, ... Gary's mid-life crisis is further fuelled by a more recent purple patch in sing-writing & recording - he is currently producing the best power pop/rock songs of his career. If ever there was a mixed marriage of U.S. top forty and Australian rock/pop ......this is it.
