My 2017 Manifesto

I build businesses – but I’m creating a legacy. I’m not in business to make a quick buck. I’m not in business to be famous. I’m in business so that I can impact every single person that I interact with. I’m in business so that people remember me in 200 years. Our social equity is far, far more important than our financial equity. It’s not even close! 


“Legacy, my friends, is greater than currency.”

Be patient. “When I was 25-years-old, I thought a 40-year-old was finished.” I was wrong. I’ve barely started. I want to show you that achieving a long-term legacy is a long process – and I’ve had my eyes on the prize since the moment I started hustling.

Be focused. “Every business decision that I ever made – EVERY ONE OF THEM – was always based on my long-term legacy … That was the key.”

“I’m really not happy with short-term successes. I’m really not happy that people now know who I am.” I’ll be happy when I’m dead and my legend is still growing.

“I live my life, on a daily basis, with the complete intent to have everybody that I interact with show up to my funeral.” I want to be remembered as such a good person that people feel compelled to show up.

Do you know what’s most important to me? It’s not just buying the New York Jets. It’s not money. “It’s a distant second to knowing I was gifted with a communication style that touches people … I’m just so goddamn thankful.”

You can’t create your legacy tomorrow. You can’t do it when you’re 90-years-old. You have time now. “It’s a balance of regret and patience.”

You need to be able to produce content that provides enough value that a consumer stops and watches your content instead of blowing right past it. Thinking you’re going to drive results within 90 days just isn’t going to happen. Deploying patience and keeping consistent, even if that consistency is in change is what you NEED to be doing if you’re trying to become successful. Give this one a listen and stick to it.
