Ever since he was a child the acoustic world was always the centre of San Miguels universe. Grown up in East Berlin he was diving deeper and deeper into the sound of the multifarious city of tunes. Music turned into his clear passion.The sound is contemporary, deep and emotional.
In all of his productions you can hear the extatic diversity combined with a fresh tune.
As an creative and outgoing guy he wanted to share his passion in many ways, so he founded „Einfach Liebe“ which is a community of various artists and a pool for a variety of events.
All in the mission of love.

Siam is an israeli new wave band that was active between 1983-1990,
and played an important key figure in the Tel Avivian music culture and art back in the days.

This record is a clash between past and present with a slight wink to the future and we are very honored to press it.

On the A side you can find a Red Axes Edit of Siam's Tel Aviv Downtown, this is a fast time machine journey which takes the dirt and the safety pins of Tel Aviv in the 80s and delivers it on a futuristic cut. 

"In the realm of" was and still is a club anthem over here since it was released in 1989, and was mostly identified with the legendary "Penguin Club" (a crazy basement club which hosted all the best shows and parties during the 80s and 90s).

Craig Bratley has been carving out a distinct and somewhat peculiar discography since his debut release ‘Free Music’ landed in 2004. The foundations of his tracks are often weighty and driving, leaving the outer layers to go intricately wild.  

Andrew Weatherall stands tall among British dance music’s most prominent figures. He’s been killing it for decades, and shows no signs of stopping. ‘Play The Game (Andrew Weatheral remix)’ stretches the track out into a mesmerising, 10-minute masterpiece that goes both minimal and maximal as it traverses through spidery percussive lines and crashing guitar chords. Ewan Pearson can do no wrong, can he? For the best part of twenty years now, the DJ, producer, writer, and academic's been recording, releasing, remixing, and playing the kind of sensate focused house that feels like the sweatiest, most loved-up high you've ever had from a best mate at sunrise, which is why he's a firm favourite here at THUMP UK. We even considered erecting a monument to him in the middle of the office by the HR team didn't seem happy about the prospect, so we stuck to sticking photos of him all over our desk. Which makes us look like either the massive fans we are, or deranged psychopaths planning an assassination.

Just for clarity, we're the former, and that's why we're so excited to be letting you listen to Pearson's typically sublime remix of "Sleep Stream" by Berlin duo Languages.

The EP that the track's taken from, which arrives on Days of Being Wild on the 2nd of December, is the pair's debut, and it's a very strong start. Pearson's floaty and fluttering, agile and fragile, sultry and sensual remix is one of the most pleasurable refixes we've heard all year and if you're not charmed by it's lilting cosmic disco charms then, well, there's no hope for you.

Leng Records is kicking off its 2019 release program by offering a debut to a previously unheralded producer from Russia’s fast growing nu-disco underground. Given the quality of the two original tracks on show on his first Leng outing, something tells us that we’re going to be hearing much more from Moscow-based Takovoi in the months and years ahead.

On the A-side you’ll find “5-2-9”, an effortlessly dreamy and Balearic affair that ebbs, flows and slowly unfurls over six spellbinding minutes. The track is built around a chunky, acid style bassline and loose, delay-laden drum machine beats. Yet it’s the drifting and dubbed-out musical elements that cluster around the groove – leisurely keys, yearning trumpet solos and kaleidoscopic, arpeggio style synthesizer melodies – that make “5-2-9” such a magical piece of music. Think of it as a statement of intent.

Takovoi’s love of TB-303 style acid lines and mind-altering electronics comes to the fore on “The Fox With The Dog” which sees the up-and-coming producer give his take on the timeless electro sound. It’s as spacey and atmospheric as you’d expect, with exotic electronic refrains and glacial synthesizer lines dancing across the sound-space. The groove – a combination of punchy drum machine hits, heavy acid-style sub-bass, occasional bursts of hand percussion and breakbeats – is pleasingly heavy, too, making this particular electro excursion a bona fide dancefloor delight.

Sutja has been a friend of Ransom Note for many years, a writer and a creative he has graced our humble webpages on many an occasion. His music career has grown in prominence more recently, however his latest release, an album on Lumiere Noire is perhaps his greatest achievement thus far.
