With scratches from the talented DJ Hoppa, and guest appearances from both SwizZz and Dizzy Wright, the presence of Independent record label, Funk Volume, can definitely be felt throughout ’16 Bars’. To compliment the mixtape, an incredibly graphic music video was released on Halloween for ‘There Will Be Blood’, which has already reached over 22,000 views. With 530 subscribers, nearly 81,000 cumulative YouTube views, and having performed with the likes of Twista, members of Bone Thugs N Harmony, Mack 10, Three 6 Mafia, Glasses Malone, and Yukmouth, Mike seems to be well on his way to making a big splash in the underground music scene.

A Ball (Intro)

Seattle has been at the forefront of modern music for decades, delivering ground-
breaking sounds from the Emerald City to the world. Sea-Town native Gator was a fresh 

voice on the scene, bringing color to an already brilliant palette of music in the city. 

His album, Snaponya, made noise in the Spring of 2006 released off of Seattle’s Noc On Wood Records. After 12 years of putting in the ground work necessary to develop his business acumen, Gator admired the hustle of left coast legends like E-40, whom he cites as a great inspiration. He has been on 1 European tour ( 5 countries)two nationwide promo runs (45 cities each) and a forty-two city tour with Noc On Wood affiliates 
Nocturnal Rage. "I learned the importance of promotion,” Gator explains. That decides 
who knows you. When you know what people like in different areas, you know how to market yourself." 

Realizing that sales and marketing is only half the battle, Gator understands the impact of a great live show. He has opened for and toured with Warren G, Twista, 8-Ball & MJG Keak da Sneak, Devin the Dude, Afro Man, Bubba Sparks, DJ Quick, Andre Nickatina, Equipto, Neo, Paul Wall, Too Short and Mac Dre .  

In preparation for the Snaponya album, Gator and Noc on Wood Records released Caddy Mackin Vol. 1 mixtape featuring Fo Feva' and PyroManiak of Nocturnal Rage. 

This will gave listeners a taste of his previously unreleased material, as well as some of what they can expect from the album. Snaponya delivered a true representation of Gator and his life experiences. The album title comes from his earning the nickname “Snaps” for the way his calm demeanor switches in the studio. “I bring the real” he says. “You won't hear me talking about stuff I haven't done.” 

Songs like his single “Cognic Lounge Position”, “Parkin’ Lot”, and “We Roll” detail his night-life exploits, while the heartfelt “Mission” delves into his intentions behind the music and his determination to keep it moving. “Ride2Nite” is his dedicated summer record for those notorious Seattle freeway drive-times, and late night cruising on Seattle strips. With production work from veteran Funk Daddy, as well as newcomers 
Lace Cadence, Kamaine, Bryce and Sativa Green, Gator has crafted Snaponya to be a soundtrack to vibe with the Northwest’s lush summer.
