A good traveller has no fixed plans nor any intent on arriving to a final destination. From the first days of the Techno movement to scoring Hollywood films, Holeg Spies is known for breaking norms and creating immersive sonic creations for the listener to get lost in but even moreso to travel around within.
Pagans attempts to take you off the beaten track; to offer an unbridled musical search, unpredictable, a composition performed by an iconoclastic orchestra of classical, electronic and ancient instruments, woven through with improvisations roaming sound recordings... as a possible reconciliation between our hyper-connected society and the environment.
Meeting and spending time with the Hopi Indians and the Mongolian nomads sourced a deep inspiration behind the ‘Axis Mundi Reload’ project, a powerful musical collection to be released early 2022. Pagans is the second EP to be released ahead of the forthcoming album.
With remix collaborations by Pan Electric (aka Matt Coldrick of Green Nuns of the Revolution) and the legendary Total Eclipse, this Ep is truly a journey into another world.

Featuring the vocal talents of Trinidadian born/Bristol-based Coreysan, Chinese-born/London-based Fifi Rong and rising soul singer Yazmyn Hendrix, producer Jez Lloyd weaves in and out of various styles of modern, song-based ambient, electronic/soul, future dub, broken beat, leftfield pop, electro, down-tempo and outernational/world music.
