PROTONICA - HORIZON EP
From the clouds of darkness bursts of colours start to appear: purple, orange and some pink. These rays of light tickle your eyes and open a new view, a new Horizon. It is only then that you start to hear the beat, those pounding sounds that make your heart race. Now you know, it is time to follow the beat.

Guiding your way to the Horizon are Protonica, aka Piet Kaempfer and Ralf Dietze from Berlin, Germany. After two successful albums – Search (2007) and Form Follows Function (2012), Protonica have been placed high in the psychedelic galaxy. In this journey they take you once more to an unknown Horizon, although the destination is unknown, pleasure is guaranteed.

The dark mist has faded away with the waves of multiple colours that were sent from the Horizon. It is bright and shiny just like Greece and brings with it the same sense of mythology and magical surrounding that are known to be associated with Atmos, aka Tomasz Balicki.

After accumulating experiences across the globe Ritmo has finalized the other side of the Phrase, it is absorbed with a more atmospheric intense sensation and brings an amalgamation of the highest quality Progressive sounds in the galaxy. Ritmo keeps his musical integrity in order to push the boundaries of the music industry and has worked hard on crystallizing what is believed to be the future sound of Progressive Trance music.

Ritmo, aka Dubi Dagan from Tel Aviv Israel has conquered the top of the Progressive kingdom in a few years, sneaking into our hearts with his modesty and shyness on the one hand, and his furious and energetic performance on the other, there is no way you can resist his magic! After releasing his debut album Disharmonic Silence on Iono Music in 2008 Ritmo has started to raise much attention, he continued with his acclaimed compilation Archive 9 and has been one of the first family members of Iono Music. From that moment on he released many quality gems, being the uncompromising artist that he is, always working hard to mould the perfect sound. Along the way he had some collaborations: Ritree with Suntree aka Alon Brilant and Arctic with Gaudium aka Andreas Wennersköld.

Although we live in a world of uncertainties, Phrase B is a piece of art you know that starts with The Truth, that inner voice that whispers in your ear that you are going on the right path. It is a crazy time indeed, an era where we experience The War Against the Machines that took over every piece of human landscape and digitized it. They would want to make us believe that this is The Way We Are, but we know better don’t we? All you need to do is to think At the Beginning, when it was all much more simple, pure and free. Luckily we have a visiting artist to remind us that reality can have many interpretations, and he gave us his own unique one. This Perfect Stranger, aka Yuli Fershtat, has remodelled the notorious hit Follow Me and gave it his own special minimal-techy touch which enhanced the magic of the track. 2004 was the year that two old friends, Andreas and Denis, decided to hit the studio to have some fun. After a couple of days the first tune was created and they were both very happy with the result. They decided to continue making music together and so Gaudium was born. Gaudium is the Latin word for satisfaction which is basically what music should be to the ears.

Both Andreas and Denis have been involved in several music projects before they decided to start producing together. At the end of 2004 the Swedish record label Spiral Trax heard a Gaudium track that really caught their attention and that became the start of the first album Nordic Nature. The album was released during the summer 2005 and received great reviews from both fans and critics all over the world, some even claiming it to be the best progressive release of the year (!)

The year after the album was released turned out to be a very productive time for Gaudium and they released tracks on labels like Flow, Plusquam, Sinn-Tech and Yellow Sunshine Explosion. Remixes on tracks by artists like Ace Ventura, Sensifeel, Visua and Symphonix were also made. 

Gaudium creates music that can be described as progressive psychedelic trance with elements of both house and techno. This attracts an audience that is used to the sounds of Spiral Trax, Iboga and Digital Structures as well as the crowd that are more familiar with harder progressive house such as Marc O’Tool and Krüger & Coyle.

In 2006 after the sad news that Spiral Trax label group stopped existing Gaudium went back to the studio to focus on not going down with the ship. A new album started to take shape and a record deal with the highly respected Danish label Iboga was made.

Gaudium is a name you will hear a lot from in the future. New remixes, performances around the world and fresh material produced for the second album will be presented. Stay tuned and make sure not to miss any of it :)
