The lead singer of White Shores, Will Richards is back with the first single from his debut solo EP due out at the end of 2020. Speaking of the new single "Like Our Last," Richards says: "It's a song that's both optimistic and sad at the same time. The main message is a call to live in the present, to be open to possibilities, and to chase your dreams. At the same time, you can't help but think back on all the time that passed when you were preoccupied by the future and consumed by worry. You wish you could go back and appreciate those moments more, but that's not how it works. All you can do is live in the present and not look back." 

With an EP release date and title TBA in the coming weeks, Richards speaks of the different moods that make up the landscape of the 5-song EP: "All the songs I've released up until now are really about heartbreak and heartache. There are a couple of those on this record, but there are also themes of bravery and moving on. The closing track is one of the rawest tracks I've ever written. It's really a commentary on mental health and an honest depiction of depression." Though there is plenty of angst on the upcoming EP, there is also a resounding message of hope. "In the past, I struggled with self-acceptance. I'm not there yet, but I've come a long way. Whereas before I felt stuck, now I'm excited about what's to come. I'm ready."
