The DirtBirdz – DJ/Producer Duo from Dublin

The DirtBirdz are Dublin-based DJs and producers David Byrne and Ian Ball, known for their high-energy back-to-back sets that blend house, hardgroove, disco,  pounding techno and a splash of nostalgia. With over  20 yearsexperience, they’ve built a reputation for seamless live DJing that includes live sampling and real-time track editing—pushing their performances beyond traditional mixing.

Early 2000s vinyl purists turned club scene regulars, the duo grew up immersed in 90s acid house, hip hop, trance, and hard house. Today, their sound is a dynamic mix rooted in house and techno, shaped by years of crate-digging and club residencies across Dublin.

The DirtBirdz host Jack That Body, a bi-weekly radio show on Dublin’s Phever FM and globally via www.phever.ie, every Saturday from 4–6PM GMT.

They’ve shared the stage with legends like Chris Liebing, Slam, Pleasurekraft, and Butch, and performed at major events including Life Festival and Fuinneamh.

As producers, their work spans labels such as Distrackt Records, Sonar Bliss Records, Day & Night Recordings, and Big Punch Records. Their track Revelation hit #1 on the Trackitdown techno chart, while Jack That Body gained support from Richie Hawtin and Luigi Madonna.
