Schoeps CCM 4 in Dish and CCM 2 Stereo Pair

My favourite bird, but not one I've met yet, as this was a new patch to record at. Two males present, one churring also in the background, and a nice surprise fly-by by a Roding woodcock to test out the CCM 2 stereo pair loan that I'm currently using in combo with the CCM 4 inside the dish.

Nightjar SH - Mixpre 4319

It's been a while since I got within distance of a singing Linnet. They are not as used to people around here as they are down on the gwent levels.  Such a cool little sing though.

Probably the closest I've been to a singing Nightjar, but still getting some issues with humidity that I need to solve.

Testing out loan gear at the moment with two CCM 2's as my stereo ambience pair, rigged into a CCM 4 dish set. So far I'm loving the CCM 2's. They open this setup so much more.

Firecrest Song CCM 4 2- Mixpre - 4400

This is one of those times where your main subject is abandoned because something more interesting appears.  The humble Chiffchaff's name would imply it has two notes within it's song, when it actually has 3 or more and in this perfect example, they can break the mould even further too! This one is doing a great double note which I have heard before but this is the first time I think I've recorded it.

Nice to the these back in local clearfells, a sure sign that my Nightjar will soon be here too. Everything is early this year as we're having crazy heat for the time of year. -1c at night and 20c in the day time! that and we haven't had rain for almost 2 months...Not the April showers we are used to in the Uk at all.
