We are happy to have daWad back on the Play Pal Series and this time on his own, as the first time we welcomed him along with his partner Mokic and that brilliant Ep they released on the label three years ago.

He describes himself as a proper laboratory rat and is actually working on a new 'no lap top-just machines' Live Act as he describes it.
His passion for composing began in his early years with a noisy-pop band in which he acted as bassist, singer and songwriter. 

You can find his music on labels such as La Dame Noir, Beachcoma, Tici Taci or Days Of Being Wild among others.

And with his side project “daWad & Mokic” on Nein, Clouded Vision or Play Pal Music.

The interstellar Canadian duo blasts off with their debut EP on Emerald & Doreen. A spaghetti-western dancefloor experience to shoot you through the Stratosphere.

It all begins with Launch. Leading the charge with a growling bass line, distorted guitars and a driving rhythm. Grip tight, you're in for a rocky ride!

The real test of the takeoff comes in with Escape Velocity. Sensory overload sets in with arps out of control, a bass line pushed to its limit, and drums that won't quit. All the while accompanied by a western guitar reminder of what they are leaving back on earth.

Jason Peters takes over for 2 renditions of Escape Velocity. The Psych remix maintains the overall experience of the original but in greater depth and detail. A definite attention grabber primed for the dance floor. The hypno mix brings forth a rolling percussive groove and pad progression that will have you feeling lost amongst the stars. Review: Mexican producer Alex Aguayo comes to Spanish label Golden Soul with an EP that packs two tracks in a total of five mixes. In its original form, 'Time Travel' itself is a hazy, pulsing affair that blends influences from nu-disco and progressive house and simply oozes sunshine, while Cosmic Sumo boss Andrea Rucci turns in an even more euphoric remix. 'Wake', meanwhile, is an energetic, Italo-inspired, trance-tinged cut that's available in techy, throbbing Original, hi-octane Alberto Melloni Remix or slowed-down 'n' sleazed-out JB Dizzy Remix flavours, with the latter rub the EP standout for this reviewer.
