PIPE'S NOT DEAD ! PIPE'S NOT DEAD ! is an audio-visual project of the Italian born Massimiliano Nardulli & Gabriele Saffioti.  
In the past years as Pipe’s not dead ! we directed short films, videoclips, music documentaries, and composed original soundtracks for feature, documentary and short films. 
We recorded 2 EPs  
- We are no longer young but we are not dead yet - (2016)  
and 
- Bemushroomed - (2018) 
and released songs for tributes and compilations.
You can find ALL THE MUSIC of PIPE’S NOT DEAD for FREE. Music is our passion and we make it to share with other music lovers around the Globe.  We believe in the mouth to mouth to promote our work and we want to keep our freedom as musicians and as human beings as much as possible. 
We don’t like to define a genre or a style for what we do. 
We are human beings first of all, with our defects, our qualities, our dreams, our fears, our hopes and  our high and low moments.

Born of the same fermenting brew that spew The Eggmen Whoo! and Sweet Benfica, Trecco Beis stumbled into the world clueless and naked, only the spirits of Kevin Bacon and Dennis Hopper as guides. A harm to themselves and others, they climbed high into the trees and made animal noises whilst constructing rudimentary tape machines built from sap, bark and sparrows. This soon became tiresome, as all natural endeavours eventually do, so they floated towards the dirt and knitted electric tapestries that made no sense to anyone but the dead sparrows - who, at this point had begun to see the error of their tiny-hollow-bone-bird ways. (About time).

From the ashes of projects past, Exsil grew in the pandemic.  A reaction to isolation, and hysteria, empty streets and half remembered dance floors.
Dense, claustrophobic and complex electro breaks, glitched and bass heavy, but always with a driving insistent pulse, fragments of haunted melody strung around its core.
Pulling in threads of 80's electro analog warmth, and outboard production techniques, but with contemporary intensity, and refusing to be limited by genre boundaries, this isn't music that is trying to "emulate" anything, but push forward, instead of cashing in on empty nostalgia.
Old school values, new school production.

 If "Exsil" means anything, it is "outsider".

Standing on the fringes, and not looking in,  but looking out.
