Playing and creating music has been my main hobby for at least as long as my early high school years. I started out playing piano, but switched to stringed instruments (specifically: guitar) soon thereafter. I did however learn most of the music theory I know by using a piano's keybed as reference.

My interest in writing, recording and producing music started somewhere around the time of 2012, which is when I started recording my song ideas in Reaper (using an extremely noisy setup involving the cable which came with the first Rocksmith game, connected to the master output of a cheap Behringer Xenyx console). 

This is when I realized that creating music involved so much more than just the mastery of an instrument, which in turn sparked my interest in the art of capturing my playing in as high a quality possible.
About 2-3 years ago, I've also become very interested in sound design through synthesis as well, practicing the craft using both hardware and software synthesizers. Of this vast landscape of possibilities, so far I've been diving primarily into subtractive synthesis.

Of course, after recording the individual parts of a music piece, layering them properly is no easy task either. I still very much consider myself a novice in keeping the frequency content of a full mix balanced decently, as well as in keeping the dynamic range of the mix under control.

My playing and music production is in no way, shape or form up to any sort of professional standard. I enjoy the art both as creator and consumer immensely, but I have no intentions of turning music into more than just a hobby.
