From initial beginnings as a Jackin house producer and DJ in his native Cardiff, the dedicated producer have plotted a carefully devised route to get right to the forefront of the house scene, in just two short years his sound had changed drastically. The organic evolution of COLE-Z78 productions has been clear for all to see, the cultivation of his instantly recognizable sound an intrinsic part of the journey from humble beginnings. Niche events run buy him and 2 others where the perfect outlet for an adventurous producers, and his own record label (Naughty Step Records) should have a substantial impact on his musical career.slowley but surlet there sound had evolved into a tech house vibe. Following that up with a debut track on JANGO under there old alis was perfect opportunity for him to showcasr there new sound and the success of this release gave him the impetus to launch himself fully into the world of tech house. With staunch support from fellow dj's, COLE-Z78 hope to became a regular fixture on the event lineups around the U.K. On the production front he will follow up with a succession of well crafted EP’s and releases on Naught Step records. 2016 proved to be a productive year for the Cardiff lad with a constant stream of quality output helping cement there place as a rising stars amongst the underground community.


The past two years have seen COLE-Z78 continue his studio prowess with a string of yet to release music including some remixes of some house legends tracks tht will be getting aired very soon.

With renewed focus on the studio this year as well as a new EP on Naughty Step Records imminent, and an artist mix for promotion  gaurnteed to be dropping soon, something that will no doubt excite the growing fan base of COLE-Z78.

ILL PHIL aka Phil Dolman has been DJ'ing for almost 18 years now, having played all over the world Phil is no stranger to the business. He has been part of a few other projects prior to this, he worked with the super producer Will Bailey AKA Lowsteppa for 3 years. Together they gave you 'Bass Weazal' & 'Punk Rolla' These projects saw Phil tour the States, and see most of Europe and even go as far as South Korea.

Radio 1 and Capital FM, KISS FM & many more have supported a lot of his productions, and continue to do so.

Phil also hosted a show called ‘The Certified Jackin Takeover’ on Grant Nelson’s the D3ep Fm network. This was a monthly show that goes out all over the world, and reaches a vast amount of listeners.

Recently Phil has decided to stay his hand at the more bassy sounding music currently known as 'House & Bass'  or  'Jackin House'  With over 100 solid tunes to his name, he is a driving force in the UK scene playing all over the country every week.

In early 2013 Phil joined the prestigious 'Certified Jackin' brand. He now does 6 mixtapes a year which achieve huge listenership's, exceeding well into the 100's of thousands of views & downloads. He also runs parties at the famous ‘Lightbox’ Club in London with ‘Certified Jackin’ which have been a huge success. 

2018 was a crazy year for Phil, seeing him play all over the country and over seas. Phil took the stage at many clubs &festivals.  2019 is set to be his biggest yet, with planned tours in Canada & Germany already, plus some other exciting things in the pipeline. Along with a very busy UK schedule, it’s going to be an amazing year for him. There will also be the release of 5 new exclusive track to mark his final year producing!

Phil is getting great support from the crowds and gaining a keen following from the scenes main heads, so if you go to one of his shows… expect a high energy set, packed full of exclusive tracks!

It's a bright future for the young DJ with plenty of new tunes in the pipeline and some great shows lined up.

The initial idea to duo under a new alias was to break away from the disco vibe and concentrate on the darker side of house and slowly but surely there sound had evolved into a massive Tech house underground vibe. Following that up with a debut track on Mjuzieek Digital Underground under their old alias was perfect opportunity for GEARS to showcase there new sound and the success of this release gave them the impetus to launch themselves fully into the world of techno. With staunch support from fellow DJ's, GEARS hope to become a regular fixture on the techno line-ups around the UK. On the production front they will follow up with a succession of well crafted EP’s and releases on Naughty Step records. 2015 proved to be a productive year for the Cardiff duo with a constant stream of quality output helping cement there place as a rising stars amongst the Underground community.

During this time they also began to hone their live performance, incorporating exclusive self made music, samples and effects to create a formidable live show perfectly tailored to their needs. There outgoing personality, combined with the vibrant nature of their music has helped the pair engender a unique party atmosphere at any live shows, something house and techno fans around the UK will attest to.

The past two years have seen GEARS continue their studio prowess with a string of yet to release music including some remixes of some tech and house legends tracks that will be getting aired very soon.
