Cellist, improviser, artist and researcher from Vigo, Galicia, Spain.

Currently, Macarena is doing her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts of
Pontevedra, University of Vigo, researching on the music notation used for free
improvisation and performance in contemporary music.

From a very young age she has collaborated with classical orchestras, jazz bands, and others artists from different disciplines. Improvisation has been a constant practice throughout her whole career and musicianship. She has been a member of the free improvisation orchestra O.M.E.Ga (Spontaneous Music Orchestra of Galicia) and METAMOVIDA. 
She is one of the founders and an active member of the H.A.L.O
collective, responsible for the weekly sessions of free improvisation held in Vigo and other Galician cities. Macarena is one of the components of the string quartet Suelen Estar Quartet (violin, cello, viola and double bass)and of the duo 23RedAnts (cello and electronics). So far, she has released a dozen albums published with other sound artists on European and American labels such as Creative Sources (PT), Pan y Rosas (USA) or Setola de Maiale (IT).

Since the 2000’s she has worked as a creator, interpreter and composer of sound spaces in contemporary dance projects such as Ensaio amor, Silencio por Favor, LP4am, … She has also produced music for audiovisual projects such as documentaries, short films, full-length films and video art.

Daniel Meyer was born in 1979 and grew up in Visbek (Lower Saxony).

After early sound experiments and his first composition for plastic drums and children's harmonica at the age of 7, Daniel started playing guitar at the age of 10. He later studied jazz guitar in Bremen with Andreas Wahl and Detlef Beier, among others. Daniel Meyer lives in Berlin.

As a guitarist and composer, he works with a wide variety of musicians and artists. These include, for example, the Composers Orchestra Berlin under the direction of Hazel Leach, Almut Schlichting, Sebastian Deufel, Jacobien Vlasman, Sven Hinse, Finlay Panter, Tobias Schirmer, Berit Jung, Alexander Beierbach, the pianist Fee Stracke and Michele Pedrazzi. He also composes, improvises and performs sound art in improvised theatre and dance theatre.

Concerts and tours have taken him through Germany and Europe.

Pianist, composer and improviser Russ Lossing, based in New York City for over 35 years, is at the forefront of creative jazz performing and recording with Paul Motian, Mark Helias, Billy Hart, Dave Liebman, Samuel Blaser, Michael Formanek, Eric McPherson, Tim Berne, Billy Mintz, Cameron Brown, Gerry Hemingway, Ralph Alessi, Mat Maneri, Drew Gress, Oliver Lake, Kirk Knuffke, Gerald Cleaver, Gordon Grdina and many others.

Lossing has 21 albums as leader on European and American record labels hatOLOGY, Ezz-Thetics, Sunnyside, Cleanfeed, Fresh Sound, Double Time, Steeplechase and OmniTone labels. Lossing was named “Rising Star” in the Down Beat Magazine Critics Poll from 2015-2021. Lossing played with master drummer Paul Motian over a period of 12 years performing and recording including a week-long stint at the Village Vanguard as a member of Motian’s Quintet. He has toured world-wide playing major jazz clubs and festivals both as leader and side-man. In 2015, he founded his label Aqua Piazza Records.
