Apollo 11

A live improvisation with James Pagliero on lap steel and myself on electric guitar and effects. Both lap steel and electric guitar were going into Guitar Rig 2 for processing and recorded using the built-in tape machine device. No post-processing.
Recorded in honour of Michael Collins, the third astronaut onboard Apollo 11. Unlike his more famous colleagues; Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, Michael didn't get to land on the moon, but had to remain on the command module. The command module orbited the moon as the lunar module landed, leaving Michael alone and out of contact with Earth for 48 minutes at a time each orbit.
