Fascinated as he is by this unique movement, having grown up in hotspot Rotterdam, he can't help but visit its menacing sound once in a while. I was asked to do this remix right after I made Soul Train, and I made this one with mostly the same vibe and sound bank. Yes, it is definitely not Soul Train 2, but I still think it's a very cool track.

Some background info: this remix was originally for a track by Noizy Boy & Clyderman - I've never known these guys to be honest. I was asked by the label it was released at, which was run by a very nice guy. He had already been supporting my music from the early days and I was happy to do him a favor. But... I actually ended up only using the vocal from the remix pack, LOL. That's how it goes...

NEW MIX! A conceptual journey of more than two hours, utilizing music from a kind of techno-trance I've been fascinated by lately. It's new music, taking heavy inspiration from the 90s trance sound - pure and deep.

The mix circles through light and dark, challenge and comfort, fear and joy, the heavens and the earth... It's a world you can dive into with full attention, with you as the protagonist - but it works just as well as a background palette for your social gatherings or daily activities.

The tracks in this genre are long and immersive, and I play a lot of them in full. I've used the vibes and emotions I felt with each track to form a bigger story, painting broad strokes for you to fill in the details with your own experience. In the tracklist you'll not only find the names of the creators of this beautiful music, but also my view of the purpose of each track in the bigger flow.

Making this mix and listening to it has brought me a lot of fulfillment. May it bring the same to you!

When I got the demo for Vivre Sans Toi, I was very intrigued by the raw emotion and clash of styles. While it's definitely something different, I feel it still feels vibes hard with The Funky Cat!

It were the very last lines of the track that really grabbed my attention. Suddenly, the lyrics switched from English to French - and I'm just a sucker for that. It brought a lot of colour to the track, and the harmonies there felt so emotive for me... So much, that I was inspired to take that bit and build a whole remix out of it.

At that moment, I was listening to a lot of music from around the year 2000, particularly italo dance and even more particularly Gigi d'Agostino. That man has a wild discography, check it out. Anyways - if you're familiar with his music, you'll definitely hear a strong influence in my remix! I've listened to it a thousand times by now, and I hope you'll enjoy it as well.
