Who is “Gee Gee”? A person may describe him as a Drummer/Producer that is “so captivating that he draws you into his world.” Gerald “Gee Gee” Harbour was born September 13, 1966 in Los Angeles, California. As a toddler Gee Gee began his interest in music by beating on pots and pans in his mother’s kitchen, and finding his way to sleep under the piano at church. You can say Gee Gee was destined to live his life filled with music and be extraordinary at it. Early in his career, the self-taught drummer played for the alternative Rock band Shrine. Gee Gee was a member of Shrine for 6 years, who were signed to Capitol Records. He later went on to tour with MTV as the drummer for Tara Kemp.
Gee Gee has developed a wide range musically, from alternative rock, pop to R&B. He has played drums with talented artists like All 4 One, Vinx, Club Nouveau, Shaquille O’Neal, Woody Harrelson, and Eddie Griffin. In 1994, he decided to take his career to the next level by putting down the sticks to start producing and composing. As a composer/producer, Gee Gee has worked with artists Al McKay (from Earth, Wind & Fire), Raven Symone, Addie Brik, The Emotions, Vinx, Destiny’s Child, Tia & Tamara, and many more. He gradually moved into the TV/Film industry to Compose Music for shows which include Moesha, The Parkers, Sister Sister, The Proud Family, In the House, Cousin Skeeter, Soul Food, King of Queens and Girlfriends. Gee Gee’s music can also be found A host of BET Shows, American Idol, Oprah, Hogan Knows Best, Unique Whips, All Access on VH1, Access Hollywood and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Currently, Gerald “Gee Gee” Harbour is living in Atlanta, Georgia. He is registered with BMI as an accomplished Songwriter, Producer, and TV/Film Composer. He is Sound & Production Coordinator/ Music Supervisor for “Neosoulnites” A Entertainment Company Featuring Live Neosoul and R&B Concerts Every month, and expanding his own production business, GeeGee 110 Entertainment Inc. And Blow or Flow.
